fast doveadm search results
hello, I've posted same question here months ago. But obtaine no answer, even not a "you question is stupid". So I don't know what to think about that. My goal is to be able to find mails quickly with "doveadm search". We are using dovecot in a corporate. And some managers, sometimes ask to delete some messages. These messages are "unwanted" ones: mistakenly

Message-ID, subject, body text? If your data is in the headers, check out: doveconf -a|grep -i cache mail_always_cache_fields = mail_cache_fields = flags mail_cache_min_mail_count = 0

Dovecot - Microsoft Azure AD
Hello, I am currently trying to connect my Dovecot mail server to Microsoft's Azure-AD and use it as password and user database. I am using version 2.3.7.1. Using the Azure-AD as passdb already works. In this context I noticed that the scope implementation is not yet merged. Since I haven't found any hints for an OAuth2 userdb implementation yet, I wanted to ask if there are any plans

Configuring wine
When I run the winecfg command, (after installing wine) either from the menu or by a command in Terminal after a few seconds the whole PC freezes and has to be rebooted to continue. I am running the latest Ububntu version with a reasonable spec PC. I have fully renistalled Ubuntu and also removed and reinstalled wine several times. Having searched this forum the only mention of a similar problem

mail_uid and mail_gid are not set in environment (for expire-tool and so)
Hello, I've just subscribed to the list, as a recent user of Dovecot (1.2.4 by now). I eventually missed a point, so I tried to find other doc or comments about my issue, but failed to. If the following has already been discussed, please simply reply with a URL to the corresponding thread or doc ;-) Now that I have covered my ass, here is the problem I meet. In dovecot.conf, I have the

Need to detect event: a user move a message to a “spam folder” (for antispam filter)
I?m writing an immune system based antispam filter. I need to detect when a user move a message to her spam folder (to inform the filter). I I found ?cmd_copy? in imap library so I detect the copy event. But at this level I wasn?t able to find info about which mail and which user copy this message. My question is: Were I can find user Info to know how is moving this message

Hello, Can the above setting be applied on a per user account basis? I thought that maybe something like per account quotas might be a possible method but not sure. Thanks.

Splitting up mail_location setting?
mail_location setting has started becoming a bit bloaty. I'm not actually even sure why I've kept adding more parameters to it rather than just adding new settings. It's also caused confusion, because people try things like: mail_location = mbox:/var/mail/%u mail_location = mbox:INBOX=/var/mail/%u Although the first one has been giving ok enough error message for a long time now and

on demand server
Hello, I am trying to set up a stream server for audio archives. I've just tried Icecast2 / Ices, and it is really good stuff, but I cannot yet get what I want : streaming on demand. I would like the user to just "click and stream" on the web page (and not listen to a stream that is already running). I don't know if it is possible with Icecast/Ices. Any suggestions would be

How to have multiple fields appear in collection_select?
I have a table of employees with the fields "last_name" and "first_name". I would like to populate a collection select so that what the user sees in the drop-down is "Last Name, First Name". So far, the only way I have figured out to do this is by using "find_by_sql" in my model, like so: @employees.find_by_sql("SELECT id, concat(last_name,

Icecast isn't really designed for this. You could mount each file you want to host at a separate location and use individual ices instances

Resolved: NT4 + SP3 reports can't NetServerEnum2 using Samba
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, I am writing to say that the problem reported on Wed 22 April 1998, where NT 4.0 + Service Pack 3 servers repeatedly report they can't get the server list from the Master Browser when using a Samba WINS has been resolved. We found that upgrading from 1.9.17p11 to 1.9.18p4 suppressed the problem reports and also the problems the servers had in viewing the network

[LLVMdev] trunk's optimizer generates slower code than 3.5
I submitted the problem report to clang's bugzilla but no one seems to care so I have to send it to the mailing list. clang 3.7 svn (trunk 229055 as the time I was to report this problem) generates slower code than 3.5 (Apple LLVM version 6.0 (clang-600.0.56) (based on LLVM 3.5svn)) for the following code. It is a "8 queens puzzle" solver written as an educational example. As

speex denoiser adaptation time
Hi Jean Marc & List, So I have been fiddling with the denoiser (again). While poking around I noticed that nb_preprocess is basically a counter that is mod-ded with 100 (the default), which causes Smin[] to be re- seeded with the value in Stmp[] (min of the previous adaptation period). Smin[] is then used to update the noise probability, which is (probably) less likely when adaptation

[LLVMdev] trunk's optimizer generates slower code than 3.5
The regressions in the performance of generated code, introduced by the llvm 3.6 release, don't seem to be limited to this 8 queens puzzle" solver test case. See... http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=llvm-clang-3.5-3.6-rc1&num=1 where a bit hit in the performance of the Sparse Matrix Multiply test of the SciMark v2.0 benchmark was observed as well as others.
