Problem with replication ("Fatal: -N parameter requires syncing with remote host")
Philipp,
I already tried explicitly specifying port, it does not make any
difference. I tried quite many 'obvious' (to put it this way)
configuration changes and tried changing many things in setup, but it
would be too much to list all of them in a post.
Basically, I was hoping that someone would know what exactly triggers
this behavior, so I could fix it.
At this point in time, I would

Problem with replication ("Fatal: -N parameter requires syncing with remote host")
Sorry to post to the list again, but just to confirm that I am seeing
same problem with 2.2.16 that I compiled from sources.
Same error message appears in the log, can't figure out what in the
setup makes replication break.
Philipp, can you tell me which auth backend are you using? passwd-file,
SQL database or something else? Would you consider posting your
'sanitized' config file

Dovecot on FreeBSD 10.1
I'm experiencing the same problem as mentioned earlier in the mailing list. - Is there some kind of workaround for this issue?

Fatal: -N parameter requires syncing with remote host
hi
I get with default (not declared)
replication_dsync_parameters above errors, and for users
that I'm trying to disable replication.
I'm trying to disable with: override_fields =
mail_replica="" in userdb and just in case (ldap) also
user_attrs = =mail_replica=""
my replication conf is pretty basic:

Dovecot Replication Errors (only) when using tcps: as the mail_replica Protocol
Hi,
I've been seeing errors logged for some time with replication processes,
whereby replication sessions seem to be timing out periodically.
This is with dovecot version 2.3.10.1 (a3d0e1171) and both are Gentoo
x86_64.
After some investigation I've determined that these timeouts are only
ever occurring with tcps as the replication connection type. These
errors never occur if

I'm using dovecot 2.2.13 with virtual folders and fts-solr (see attached

Problems with qouta_clone plugin
Hello
I'm having troubles getting the quota_clone plugin to work for me.
i?, trying to put the quota values into to to fields, messages and

The quotas are getting written to the maildirsize file and can be
updated with the doveadm quota recalc -A or -u "*" command
But i can't seem to get it to trigger the quota_clone plugin, not even

Dovecot replication, no updates on message deposit
Hi,
I am trying to setup dovecot replication based on:
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Replication
All mailboxes share the same UNIX userid ('vmail'), and I setup ssh-key
based login for this account in both directions. As LDA exim4 is
configured to use dovecot deliver LDA. Here is the relevant config from
exim:
/usr/lib/dovecot/deliver -d $local_part -f $sender_address -a

Odd replication behaviour
Hi,
I have just built a new pair of similar machines both running CentOS 8.2 (selinux disabled) and Dovecot 2.3.8 (9df20d2db).
One machine is a VPS (host A) and one is on my home network (host B). The idea is that they are set up in a master/master config with Dovecot replication.
I seem to have this 95% working but there is one strange issue I can?t work out.
Currently B is a perfect replica

Hello,
i have a dovecot server version 2.3.1 under CentOS 6.9 and we're

Replication: Can't unsubscribe from shared mailbox
Hi,
I am running two dovecot servers active/active.
Everything runs pretty great, except for the replication of subscriptions in a shared namespace.
When I unsubscribe from a folder the subscription instantly re-appears. The timestamp on the subscriptions file is updated, but the entry is still in there.
If the other node is shut down, everything works as expected, which leads me to believe that

Dovecot dsync not replicating ".dovecot.sieve -> .sieve/managesieve.sieve" / setactive
Hello,
I've ran into problem with Dovecot and dsync replication. Everything
works perfectly, including replication of sieve scripts, except fact
that if user activates the 'managesieve' ruleset (I'm using currently
Roundcubemail) on "mail1" host, it wouldn't be activated on "mail2"
host, by creating symlink ".dovecot.sieve ->

Also, please provide an example scenario; i.e., for one problematic

- The values of the variables substituted in the dovecot-lda command
line; i.e., provide that command line.
- The incoming e-mail message.

Stephan.
