error using fts/tika
Hi,
I played around a bit and tried to get tika to run with dovecot. In the end I was at least a bit successful.
However, when I tried to index my inbox with "doveadm index -A '*'"
I get:
doveadm(infoomatic): Error: fts_tika: PUT http://localhost:8081/tika failed: 500 Server Error
doveadm(infoomatic): Warning: I/O leak: 0x7f4f697bb170 (line 127, fd 24)

bug in indexer/indexer-worker
Hi,
I have already mentioned this in http://www.dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2014-November/098592.html
I could reproduce the errors above in a self-compiled v2.2.18 and the prebuilt packages from xi.rename-it.nl (in addition to version 2.2.15 mentioned in the link)
The problem occurs when enabling fts_tika in the plugins (tried tika 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8). I tried to move a folder of my mailbox

Sis attachment deduplication
Hi.
Two questions:
1. Is this now reasonably stable for large mailboxes (c 2mm messages)?
2. Will this leave the filename in the message body unchanged? So for example if I have the same attachment called proposalfromvendor.pdf and proposaltoclient.pdf in two different emails, will the original names be kept ? Or will it replace the filename with some kind of numeric hash ?
Many thanks.

"Hello,
I love Dovecot, but when developing a small IMAP tool, I ran into searching

suggestion.
This was on Dovecot 1.2.15 on Debian Squeeze.
My tool? It's called "midget" and retrieves documents from an IMAP box

their mid: or cid: identifier, as per RFC 2392. I

struggling with pigeonhole date extensions
I am struggling with how to use the date extension for Dovecot/Pigenhole implementation of Sieve email filtering language. I have read RFC 5260 several times and tried different things with no luck.
I would like to place all messages this year up till the end of March into the specified mail folder. What the snippet below actually seems to do is take any messages this year (whether before or after

dovecot.org slow & imap search now blazing fast
Hi.
In case you were not aware, I wanted to let you know that dovecot.org
has been very slow (often almost unusable) for at least several days now.
Also, I upgraded my dovecot from 2.2.10 to 2.2.15. Thank you for fixing
IMAP search. I have c. 2mm messages, and it had become unusable before
but it is now very fast. (I saw a reference to an optimisation on the
mailing list from back in Oct

Replication and namespaces
Hi.
Replication in dovecot is running into trouble as it is trying to sync virtual namespaces and does not like it.
dsync parameters
With v2.2.9+ you can configure what parameters replicator uses for the doveadm sync command:
replication_dsync_parameters = -d -N -l 30 -U
The -f and -s parameters are added automatically when needed.
Usually the only change you may want to do is replace -N (=

Setting mail_attach_dir for destination on dsync
Hi.
What is the best way to do this, please ?
I can override with -o but this applies to source as I read the docs.
So I wish to do something like this
dsync mirror -u myuser at me.com mdbox:/home/mail/myuser/mdboxcopy
With either of:
1) attachments stored within message so mail_attachment_dir for dest being blank
Or
2) attachments stored in a sub directory of mdboxcopy eg mdboxcopy/attach/
