Interface for managing users?
Hey all, I'd like to use dovecot as an testing/benchmarking IMAP server for switchboard (https://github.com/thusfresh/switchboard). As part of the tests, I need to add and destroy dovecot users. Is there an interface or tool for this sort of user management at a higher-level than editing the user store, e.g. passwd-file, sql, ...? Also, more generally, are there any tools for using dovecot

Merging Ogg streams whilst updating the Skeleton?
Oh, sorry, I completely misunderstood. You want to make them time-parallel streams! I would merge them with oggz-merge without skeleton and then add skeleton using oggindex e.g. http://git.xiph.org/?p=OggIndex.git;a=summary . (oggindex is also available from http://firefogg.org/nightly/ ) Hope that helps. Silvia. On Sat, Aug 23, 2014 at 3:35 PM, Nick Burch <ogg at gagravarr.org> wrote:

Managing users and home dirs
For those of you using virtual users, and SQL, how are you managing your users and their home dirs ? That is, what process do you use for adding/deleting users, creating their home dirs etc ? I suppose it's easy enough to do manually, inserting rows in the database, creating dirs, chown/chmod yada yada, but there must be a better way to do it ... If you're doing dovecot replication then it

Merging Ogg streams whilst updating the Skeleton?
Hi All I'm currently trying to put together an ogg file with two theora streams, a handful of audio streams (probably mixed vorbis and opus), and a Skeleton stream that describes their relationships to each other. I had hoped to be able to use the oggz suite of tools, but I can't seem to get that to work. To generate my theora files, I'm using ffmpeg2theora, which will happily

Dovecot 2 LDAP "unknown user"
I finally managed to get this going but I have noticed in my case that: 1. I need to make sure the user logon name in AD and the samAccountname are exactly the same, case and all. It seems postfix uses the samAccountname and Dovecot the User logon name. 2. I also noticed that if the Display name for a user in AD is blank, that user cannot log in using telnet <server ip> 110. I am quite

Merging Ogg streams whilst updating the Skeleton?
It's well possible there are bugs. I don't know when the code was last updated. Also, I am not sure if there are command-line parameters to set the role - I would think there are. I don't actually have these tools in use right now, sorry. I hope somebody else can help. Silvia. On Sun, Aug 24, 2014 at 5:21 PM, Nick Burch <ogg at gagravarr.org> wrote: > On Sat, 23 Aug 2014,

Dovecot 2 LDAP "unknown user"
Thanks for your reply again Steffen. The command doveadm user -u username successfully returns the username and any information it can for the user in AD. As a matter of fact, I entered some home directory information in AD and this command returned the User's Home Directory as well. Is it a problem though that the telnet test won't work? Mapping other Inbox method (symlink vs ACL)
Hi Steffan, How do I specify the entire mailbox? I only use ACL via telnet. I tried to use *(wildcard) to indicate entire mailbox but I guess that does not work. Will keep looking but appreciate if you could advise briefly. Thanks Kevin On Thu, May 7, 2015 at 3:05 AM, Kevin Laurie <superinterstellar at gmail.com> wrote: > Dear Steffan, > Noted. folders not visible on copied mail folders
Shortly after this post, I found a solution here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=1097725 In order to see the .Dennis\ Email.Dennis\ Inbox sub-folder you have to collapse and re-expand the folder list in Thunderbird. It's that simple ... AND that annoyingly obscure! Thanks for your help! --Mark -----Original Message----- From: Mark Foley <mfoley at ohprs.org> Date: Thu,
