Today I tried to convert my mailboxes with the new xz compression.

Re: sieve/vacation: bad parsing of 'References' header
Hi Stephan
Thank you for your reply.
I'm using dovecot 2.2.9 packaged with ubuntu packages:
dovecot-managesieved ?1:2.2.9-1ubuntu2.1 ? amd64 ? ? ? ?secure POP3/IMAP server - ManageSieve server
dovecot-sieve ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 1:2.2.9-1ubuntu2.1 ? amd64 ? ? ? ?secure POP3/IMAP server - Sieve filters support
If I'm not mistaken Pigeonhole is part of those packages.

quota setup assistance (postfix+dovecot+mysql)
Hello list,
I have been struggling with establishing a working installation of dovecot with mySQL quota support. I have not been able to find a guide or tutorial that works for the current revisions of software I have at my disposal.
Most notably, the error I see in the mail log is as follows :

Printing via SMB-Kerberos no longer works
Hello,
After upgrading from Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 printing via SMB-Kerberos no longer works (printing still works in 18.04 when I print via SMB but I don't want to have the password stored in clear text in /usr/lib/cups/backend/smb).
In 16.04 I can just type "lpr file.pdf", but when doing this in 18.04 I get "Password for [myuser] on localhost?" and it expects me to type

Trying Dovecot Replication with dsync
Hi,
I have a failover cluster for mail server with:
Ubuntu12.04 + DRBD (for block replication) + Ext4 filesystem
+ Dovecot-2.0.19-2 with Mdbox
It works fine with ~50k accounts. My cluster design:

I plan to test Dovecot Replication with dsync to build an active/active
cluster with load balancing. Can anyone direct me to some literature? A

nt acl inheritance
Hello List,
I've observed the following missbehaivoure, while playing around with nc
acl's. (see relevant configuration below):
Working with Windows XP:
Open acl enabled share
Set default share permissions by right click on the explorer's top left
clip control -> properties.
Under security I remove the CREATOR-OWNER and CREATORUSER Group, as I
