Rotated Logs Per SIGXFSZ every few seconds
Hello,
I recently installed Asterisk 1.2.2 on one of our servers and it was
doing fine until this morning when it started to Rotate the
logfiles(event_log and messages[/var/log/asterisk/]) every few
seconds:
"Rotated Logs Per SIGXFSZ (Exceeded file size limit)"
They would never get more than 6000 bytes big before they rotated and
it just kept rotating until I ended up with 10000

pdflush kernel thread pops up every 10 seconds or so and video decoding grinds to a halt for 1/2 a second
Hi. A friend of mine was doing real-time video decoding on
Fedora Core 13 and he had a performance glitch (1/2 a second
freeze) every 5-10 seconds. "top" showed flush-253:0
process at the moment of the freeze.
Major device number 253 corresponds to device-mapper. I advised my
friend to re-install his FC13 without LVM, to see if the glitch
is related to LVM.
After re-installing FC13

Blip every 30 seconds?
Strange issue.... when I record a file from a phone to the asterisk
system I get a blip in the recording every 30 seconds. It's a very
small blip, but it is there. It seems like it's only if I'm
recording, not when I'm playing back that the issue happens.
My SATA drives, ETH0, and my Sangoma card are all on seperate IRQs.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this and how to

blktap stops every 10 seconds and the performance suffers
Hi all,
I am not sure if this is the right list.
I implemented a network store based on blktap, a IO consumes100
ms, however tapdisk stops every 10 seconds, as a result
previous io''s completion will be sent to kernel until 10 seconds
later. This makes
the performance suffer. Am I using blktap wrong ?
Thanks,

Bug#695041: "service xendomains stop" sleeps XENDOMAINS_STOP_MAXWAIT seconds for every domain
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 4.1.3-4
Function check_running in /etc/init.d/xendomains incorrectly detects a
not running domain as running. As a consequence thereof
"/etc/init.d/xendomains stop" needs more than
XENDOMAINS_STOP_MAXWAIT * "number of xen domains known to xend" seconds
to run.
Here is a pseudo call trace:

why does the Polycom IP600 check FTP every 60 seconds...
Hi,
I am mostly happy with my Polycom IP600 but it apparently needs to check
the FTP server every minute. I couldn't find any obvious setting related
to that behavior in the configuration files.
Any idea how to curb the IP600's spurious network activity?
Thanks,

Small noise every 3 seconds
Hi all,
Firsts of all, let me say that I'm new to asterisk. I have some time suscribed to the list reading a lot of your messages and trying to learn a lot.
The case is: last week I installed an asterisk server in the following scenario:
PBX --- CISCO_ROUTER ---- ASTERISK
The calls that are routed within the asterisk work perfect, there is not problem.
However, the calls that are

Send DTMF digit every 15 seconds during a call
I am trying to send a DTMF digit automatically every 15 seconds to keep a
call connected to an alarm panel. I tried using the dial command L and
recording a dtmf tone for the beep, but obviously that didn't work. Does
anyone have a suggestion for merging the L option and the sendDTMF or the D
option? Any other suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Registering with second SIP service causes error every 2 seconds - what is going on?
I had my asterisk server working fine with FWD as a SIP provider, so I
now added a second SIP provider (voctel). The addition to my sip.conf
file is almost identical to FWD, however, asterisk now generates lots of
debug messages for some strange reason! In particular, the line "#####
Testing 127.0.0.1 with 172.31.0.0" shows up every two seconds! (See my
log below).

Hi all,
I have a locking problem in a Centos 4.4 linux machine with the
following config:
dovecot-0.99.11-8.EL4
postfix-2.2.10-1.1.el4
I use virtual mailboxes with postfix
currently I have dovecot with mbox as this:
default_mail_env = mbox:/var/mail/virtualmail/%d/%n
The problem is that mail is being delivered to mailboxes very very
slowly (sometimes up to 4 hours). In my logs, I have tons of
