FreeBSD Core dump: PAM authentication with Kerberos credentials (GSSAPI_MIT)
Hi! Can you attempt to get core dump with debugging symbols with dovecot too? Currently it seems to only contain symbols from kerberos bit, which is not very useful on it's own. Suse (SLES8) Kerberos
I've got the book Samba-3 By Example and I'm trying to get my Samba to work with our Active Directory Server. But for that I need Samba 3, which was no problem since I found rpms at http://ftp.sernet.de/pub/samba/sles8-i386/ (You can also find rpms for other distros there). But the book also tells me that I need either Heimdal 0.6 (plus specific patches) or MIT Kerberos 1.3.1 or

Kerberos-related configure script problem on Solaris with 3.2.0
I'm building samba-3.2.0 on a Solaris 10 x64 box using the Sun Studio cc compiler. I'm running into a problem. I have a workaround. Let me know if I should post a bug report. A. The problem: $ ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/samba-3.2.0 --with-ads --with-pam --with-acl-support --with-shared-modules=idmap_ad --enable-socket-wrapper --enable-nss-wrapper

Heimdal Kerberos in Samba4
I would like to start testing this? I saw a few months back Alexander Bokovoy Released a build for F23 and I started using that. Now that F24 is out I have to look for a way to upgrade. Is there a build for rawhide with this? The standard samba-ad package for rawhide that install still doesn't come with samba-tool. And compiling samba 4.4.5 with-mit-krb5 automatically disables ad support it

Heimdal Kerberos in Samba4
As we wanted to test last Samba version we had to compile Samba manually once 4.3.0 went out. As we wanted to continue to deploy Samba using system's package manager, we decided to built our own RPM. As I hate RPM, I had to learn. As I'm lazy, I tried to not waste too much time learning RPM. So I downloaded .spec from Sernet's package 4.2.x, I modified that .spec to match new Samba

Heimdal Kerberos in Samba4
Hi List, I do my best to ask my question in english. ;-) Samba4 integrated heimdal kerberos to do the kerberos work for Active Directory. Some Linux Distributions like fedora/RedHat and openSUSE/SUSE don't accept heimdal even if it is shipped inside samba. Their argument is that heimdal isn't maintained since 2012. Compiling samba against MIT krb5 results in Samba-Packages without

Question about Kerberos and what is the different if compile with internal heimdal or mit-krb5
Dear All, Would like some know the answer on the above question. What is the different between compiling using internal heimdal library vs mit-krb5. I'm on gentoo and thus like other distro having issue on the system-wide mit-krb and removing it is not that convenient (But still possible) I've try to compile samba 4.1.2 with internal heimdal library to work as a Domain controller But

Heimdal Kerberos in Samba4
updating Fedora-rawhide this morning I see 4.5.0rc1 has arrived. And still no samba-tool so I looked at installing from source with dnf download --source samba rpm -i samba*src.rpm looking at the spec file I see a section %if ! %with_dc --without-ad-dc \ %endif How do I tell rpmbuild with_dc? [PATCH] Simplify Kerberos credentials cache code
The attached patch removes the duplicated credentials cache generation code in auth-krb5.c and gss-serv-krb5.c, by turning it into a procedure which is then called by both sections of code. It's against the latest portable CVS tree. Cheers, Simon. -------------- next part -------------- Index: auth-krb5.c =================================================================== RCS file:

Solaris 9 (sparc), Heimdal kerberos and Samba 3.0.9
Hello, I've been having some problems with compiling samba 3.0 with kerberos support using the heimdal libraries. My problems are the same as those detailed in these two archive posts (one from here, one from elsewhere) http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2004-March/082135.html http://www.stacken.kth.se/lists/heimdal-discuss/2004-11/msg00001.html Quick summary: Samba attempts to use
