After upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2.13 clients can create folders with names containing slash character on a Linux system
We have following issue: After upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2.13 clients can create folders with names containing slash character. This was not possible with our previous version 2.1. Tested. Our Dovecot runs on Debian Wheezy system. According http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Listescape this should be disabled on a Posix system. We use the usual separator '.' as you can see in the config

Expire plugin / expire-tool redesign for doveadm
Expire plugin / expire-tool seems annoyingly inflexible currently, so I was thinking about a more generic redesign: The expire plugin keeps track of the oldest message in configured mailboxes. Its only configuration is the list of tracked mailboxes. There's no configuration like what the expire timeouts are or anything. There will be a new doveadm command: doveadm expunge [-u user | -A]

Debugging doveadm expunge
Hi, I'm a recent convert to dovecot, and in general it is all working fine. However, I have a number of cron jobs set up to purge old messages from mailboxes. These don't seem to be doing what I would expect. Is there any way of debugging this process? Some way of seeing what messages it's checking, and why each one matches or fails to match? For example, I'm running this:

Setting Recent Flag on New Messages?
So I?m looking at setting up some house-keeping for my dovecot mailboxes, specifically deleting messages in trash, spam etc., by deleting Seen messages older than X days. In order to protect against the edge case of a user reading a message right before the deletion task however I?d like to do something like the following: doveadm expunge -A OLD SEEN BEFORE 7d MAILBOX Trash doveadm flags -A
