Cannot delete folder
Assuming '8' = mail, i cannot see anything wrong here... Can you turn on 'mail_debug=yes' and attempt folder deletion, and check logs after that? This sounds more like misconfiguration to me. Can you provide doveconf -n and full output of namei -vl /full/path/to/mailbox ---Aki TuomiDovecot oy -------- Original message --------From: Yves Goergen <nospam.list at unclassified.de> Date: 19/05/2018 18:51 (GMT+02:00) To: Dovecot Mailing List <dovecot at dovecot.org> Subject: Re: Cannot delete folder The issue still exists. I guess you have had different version(s) or setting(s) in the past, and you can probably fix this by setting perms to same as the new folders. Long delays when deleting a message in inbox
Which log would you suggest? There's nothing for these times in mail.log, messages and syslog. Long delays when deleting a message in inbox
Hi, Since recently, there's a long delay when deleting any message from my inbox folder. This affects deleting and moving messages, but only the inbox of a single mailbox. The delay is a few seconds. Other operations work instantly. The server is Ubuntu 14.04 running Dovecot version "1:2.2.9-1ubuntu2". The filesystem is local ext4. My MUA is Thunderbird on Windows, latest

ZFS Prefetch Tuning
Hi All, Is there a way to tune the zfs prefetch on a per pool basis? I have a customer that is seeing slow performance on a pool the contains multiple tablespaces from an Oracle database, looking at the LUNs associated to that pool they are constantly at 80% - 100% busy. Looking at the output from arcstat for the miss % on data, prefetch and metadata we are getting around 5 - 10 % on data,

Cannot delete folder
Hi there, I cannot delete IMAP folders in new mailboxes. When trying to delete a folder in Thunderbird I get the error message "renaming not supported across conflicting directory permissions". Looking up the error on the web led me to checking the mailbox directory's permissions. They're inconsistent in new mailboxes. While every single directory in an old mailbox has

prefetch + static + deliver
Hi all... The prefetch entry in the wiki says: "If you're using Dovecot's local delivery agent, you'll still need a valid userdb which it can use to locate the users. You can do this by adding a normal sql/ldap userdb after userdb prefetch." (http://wiki.dovecot.org/UserDatabase/Prefetch) My question is: Does it need to be a SQL/LDAP userdb? How about static or passwd?

userdb prefetch problem..
I have a setup that I'm working on migrating to Dovecot for thousands of users across a few dozen domains.. All users are authed from LDAP.. In LDAP, each user has a unique uidNumber, and varying gidNumber (for use in other applications) As far as mail storage, the entire Maildir structure is owned by UID/GID: vmail/vmail So, the uidNumber/gidNumber from LDAP is not needed. global uid/gid is

userdb prefetch doesn't work with imapc (2.2.18)
Hi, I have the following config in dovecot 2.2.18: # doveconf -n userdb passdb userdb { driver = prefetch } passdb { args = host=127.0.0.1 port=1430 default_fields = userdb_imapc_user=%u userdb_imapc_password=%w driver = imap } I guess it should cause a single login to the backend IMAP server when issuing a LOGIN to dovecot. Yet, dovecot opens two TCP sessions. In the first, it

Bug with userdb prefetch
Hi, when I'm (trying) to use userdb prefetch with ldap, it works fine for system users, but for virtual users without their own uid and gid, it won't work. I get in the log: Dec 31 01:34:47 buick dovecot: auth(default): prefetch(oddrun,127.0.0.1): userdb_uid not returned Dec 31 01:34:47 buick dovecot: auth(default): prefetch(oddrun,127.0.0.1): userdb_gid not returned Which means that

Ldap userdb prefetch not working
I am having some issues with getting the prefetch working. In /etc/dovecot/dovecot-ldap.conf.ext I am having: pass_attrs = uid=user,userPassword=password,host=host,homeDirectory=userdb_home,uidNu mber=userdb_uid,gidNumber=userdb_gid If I do an ldap search from this location I am able to get these properties. ldapsearch -LLL -W -s sub -D
