Replication and Sieve
Hi, I've got two servers set up for replication, which is working fine - except the sieve scripts. While the first replication, the existing rules have been replicated well. Also the activation/Deactivation seems to work. But Changes to the rules doesn't seem to be transferred. Configuration should be the same as the other server, except for mail_replica dovecot -n: # 2.2.15:

After the following upgrade, the sieve-scripts are replicated - very good. Best regards Hanns Mattes

Dovecot 2.3.8 - How to force index creation for user/mailbox?
Hello, I'm using maildirs, and I have problems with big mailboxes (~ 20000 emails, 30-50GB) - sometimes access to such mailbox takes very long (~10 minutes), I would like to be able to create index for mailbox in background, but I couldn't find any way to do it. So far I tried: *doveadm -D -vvv index -u user 'Folder' * But even if this folder have no dovecot.index* files - I

Quota reporting
Hi, my main server will be upgraded from Dovecot 1.2something to 2.2. For testing I've installed a setup with postfix, handing malis as a relay via lmtp. So far it's up and running - really nice. AFAICS there's one issue left: Thunderbird and Kmail don't show the quota status. Using doveadm quota the information is shown correctly, even the user-specific values (coming from

Thanks, but both commands didn't create dovecot.index. shadow OOS and fast path are incompatible
We recently observed a problem with Solaris HVM domains. The bug was seen was seen with a higher number of VCPUs (3 or more), and always had the same pattern: some memory was allocated in the guest, but the first reference caused it to crash with a fatal pagefault. However, on inspection of the page tables, the guests'' view of the pagetables was consistent: the page was present.

Dovecot 2.3.8 - How to force index creation for user/mailbox?
Neither of dovecot.index files are created (.cache, .log, .thread) - these files are created when I open the folder with IMAP client. When mailbox is not used for long time, the indexing takes very long time. So I'm looking for any solution (preferably with doveadm) to manually reindex folders in background. wt., 3 gru 2019 o 20:23 Aki Tuomi <aki.tuomi at open-xchange.com> napisa?(a):

File synchronization friendly indexes
I've been doing some tests of file synchronization with Unison (think "two way rsync"), and run into one problem: Synching between servers has conflicts on the index file. I can manually exclude, but what seems to me to be a really wonderful feature would be to, preferably, make the indexes somewhat atomic, so that files, once written, don't change (this is a feature of maildirs

Resync raid1 from disk with unreadable sectors
Hello, After some fiddling with the server now I have broken RAID1 with the "current" mirror on the disk with few unreadable sectors. If I try to re-add other disk to the mirror resync goes till those bad sectors and then starts from the beginning. And so on. Is it possible to somehow force resync to continue even after errors? Manual resync with dd would require a bit too long
