dovecot.org broken
The new server should be in its final resting place tomorrow and hopefully after that everything will work again correctly. I know there are some problems with missing DNS names at least, but other than that I think it's working. I created yesterday scripts that can now build dovecot.org from scratch in about 15 minutes (using backups of course). The new dovecot.org server was built using

Mailing list / dovecot.org down this weekend
Apparently the building where dovecot.org server is located will lose its electricity for something like 9-26 hours this weekend. During this time the mailing list will be down, but the web, hg and wiki will be available in another server. (Well, the wiki depends on if I can get moinmoin fixed on the server.) -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...

wiki.centos.org .. what's next ?
it's all in the title : what's next for wiki.centos.org ? As a reminder, current wiki.centos.org instance is powered by moinmoin (https://moinmo.in/) but quite an old version (moin-1.5.8-3.el6.noarch) Recently I had a quick look at trying to update/upgrade that version to something newer/supported, but it's a nightmare : the data conversion just kill the target server (oom) and no

Testing Wiki migration - asking for testers
Hi nice people interested in CentOS Docs and wiki ! There were already threads about migrating the wiki to something else (mediawiki, $other), or staying with moinmoin (what we now have in place). This mail isn't about that thread (but feel free to start a new one about that possible migration or not), but about just migrating the current moinmoin instance from the current machine to a new

raw text Access for http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories, Please.
I would like to be given sufficient access to http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories that I may copy the raw text to a SubPage of my HomePage. I propose to edit the links on that SubPage and submit it for review by anyone who may have sufficient knowledge to validate my changes. I have yet to work with the RPM Package Manager, so I will be making edits that need to be reviewed

Some silly benchs (was: 1.9)
Guys, Just for fun, I tried to see (I know, a silly way to test it) how much overhead we have calling the C functions of the extensions. the benchmark script and the results: http://pastie.caboo.se/128646 The naive C extension: http://pastie.caboo.se/128647 I compared 1.8.6 (VC6 and mingw builds) against a fresh checkout of ruby trunk. What I understand from that is 1.9 is slower than 1.8
