Re-downloading mails after migrate server
I think a good try is update the new server to latest dovecot version. I migrate about 1.5M mailboxes from dovecot 1.0.X to Dovecot 2.0.X and no problems (and we have a lot of users with the "leave copy on server" option checked). http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Migration On Thu, Apr 28, 2011 at 9:41 AM, Pete Conkin <pete at reach.net> wrote: > ----- Original Message ----- From:

Re-downloading mails after migrate server
Hi all... again. I have uploaded the new server to dovecot 2.0.12, and still having the same issue. I have even tried changing the hostname, and still the same. I have checked the site http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Migration at the "POP3 migration" section, and I can't see the problem. The UIDLs between hosts are still the same, and I am lost at what is making me download the mails

Pasar palabras de una lista a una variable del dataframe
Muchas gracias Carlos, Me da error al hacerlo. Mi variable donde quiero que localice las palabras de la lista tiene más de una palabra, no se si puede ser por eso. help a journalist: What do you wish the CIO understood about fighting spam?
Hi, folks. I'm senior online editor at CIO.com, and I'm working on an article for which I'd very much like your help. There's often a lack of communication between techies and top company management. Maybe they don't want to hear about problems; perhaps you give them technical details that are far more granular than they want to know. But dealing with spam is a topic

What would you tell the CIO in an "ABCs of Email" overview?
One of the key points that came up when I researched and wrote the "Five Things CIOs Should Know about Fighting Spam" article (http:// www.cio.com/article/28830) was that they should know the basics of how email works. Otherwise, said plenty of techies, the CIO won't have the first idea of what the email admin is complaining about. So I'm going to do my part. I'm

Dotplot (package Hmisc) with groups: colours and symbols
Hello all, This question concerns the function Dotplot from the Hmisc package. My aim is to compare values between groups in each panel of the Dotplot, with the values of different groups clearly distinguishable by different symbols. All lines and symbols should be coloured in black. Before adding the panel function to the Dotplot, the groups behaved as desired and were marked by different

using posfix on the local LAN, with internet FQDN
Hi all, I hope someone can help me with this please. One of our clients has an in-house Postfix mailserver which basically downloads mail for the individual users from our mail server hosted on the web using fetchmail. They use our SMTP server to send mail. Their email clients are then setup to get & send mail from the server, on 192.168.2.254 (for POP3 & SMTP). All mail between them

predict() and heteroskedasticity-robust standard errors
Hello there, I have a linear regression model for which I estimated heteroskedasticity-robust (Huber-White) standard errors using the coeftest function in the lmtest-package. Now I would like to inspect the predicted values of the dependent variable for particular groups and include a confidence interval for this prediction. My question: is it possible to estimate confidence intervals for the

adding columns to dataframes contained in a list
hi there, I have a list of 5 identical dataframes: mydf <- data.frame(x=c(1:5), y=c(21:25)) mylist <- rep(list(mydf),5) and a factor variable with 5 levels: foo <- c(letters[1:5]) foo <- as.factor(foo) Question: I'd like to add a new variable to each dataframe in the list, each containing only one level of the factor variable. So mylist[[1]] should have a new variable z

PDC replacement
Hi all, I am at a small organization that has been using Samba for authentication for a while now, and I have inherited our Samba setup from our previous administrator. The server is in disrepair software-wise and would really benefit from a good reinstall. The problem is that our Samba implementation is mission-critical, so we need to get it replicated to another machine which can handle the

memory and bootstrapping
hello, the following questions will without doubt reveal some fundamental ignorance, but hopefully you can still help me out. I'd like to bootstrap a coefficient gained on the basis of the coefficients in a logistic regression model (the mean differences in the predicted probabilities between two groups, where each predict() operation uses as the newdata-argument a dataframe of equal size as
