smart card auth
I updated my work desktop to kernel-3.10.0-1062.4.1.el7.x86_64 yesterday as I was leaving. This morning booted into that new kernel I was unable to login using my common access card.? Rebooted in the previous kernel (3.10.0-1062.1.2.el7.x86_64) and smart card login works fine. Anyone else seeing any similar problems?? I haven't had time to dig deeply into the logs yet but I did a bunch of

Failed when join to an existing Active Directory Domain
The master DC runs on Debian 7 and samba 4.1.10. I know this is bad because both versions are too old, but I'm trying to resolve it with upgrade my secondaries DC's. The DC that has failed to join this domain runs on CentOS7, kernel release 3.10.0-1062.1.2.el7.x86_64, and samba 4.10.2. I have a friend that know so much about MS solutions (he has MS certificate) and he has asked me if

Dovecot Index Corruption and dovecot-uidlist Issues
Hello, We have recently implemented dovecot directors to resolve an ongoing NFS lock/corruption issue. Everything was working great! So we updated our servers from centos 7.3 to 7.7 and dovecot 2.2.10 to 2.3.8 This was a bit of a failure and we were getting spammed with corrupt index files and logs. After we clear the index files with rm rf/mail/d/e/username/Maildir/dovecot*, they just come back

Hiding a grub menuentry?
Does anyone know if it is possible to 'hide' a grub menuentry with CentOS 7 ? I have a custom menuentry that I don't want to be seen on the grub screen - but it needs to be selectable as the entry to boot via 'grub2-reboot' I've scanned the grub2 documentation - but I can't find anything obvious - so I'm guessing it can't be done - unless someone knows

Failed when join to an existing Active Directory Domain
Hi Rowland, My domain is a Samba Domain originally. I don't have any Windows DC and I've never had a Windows DC in this domain, only Windows members. My master DC is too old samba version and I've put a new DC with samba 4.10.2 and I've tried to update a secondary DC that had had offline. Then I have demonted it and compile a Samba 4.10.2 and I've tried to join it with the
