nonparametric mixed model ?
Dear friends. I hope you will bear over with a lengthy question. I have a problem of 76 patients on hemodialysis measured repeatedly once a month for nine months for methylmalonic acid and vitamin B12. The vitamin had been administered previously to these patients but was curtailed in the first part and then started again. There was a very clear response in that as vitamin B12 went down

stripplot, lattice
hello,
i can't figure out how to set position of panels of my stripplot -
i`d like the panels of one level of the factor stage (nr. of panels within
each stage, A: 12, B: 12, C: 12, D: 4, each panel representing a site) to be
in one column, with A to D from left to right and with descending site.nr at
each row.
like:
A1 B1 C1 D1
A2 B2 .. ..
A3 .. ..
..
how is this achieved?
any help

R - need more memory, or rejection sampling algorithm doesn't work?
Hi all,
I am trying to run rejection sampling for the quantity z11 in the function
below. Unfortunately I can't simplify the function further so that z11 only
appears once.
Whenever I run the algorithm, R looks as if it is running it (no error
messages or anything), but then nothing happens for minutes...how long
should it take to run something like this in R? I have tried in in both

PHP, I send along this message from the programmer of the NetJuke

Question about TargetLowering::SimplifyDemandedBits with AND
Hi All,
I have faced a problem with TargetLowering::SimplifyDemandedBits with
AND. Here is a example as following:
/* C source code */
struct A
{
unsigned int a;
unsigned char c1, c2;
bool b1 : 1;
bool b2 : 1;
bool b3 : 1;
};
int main ()
{
struct A x[1];
x[0].b1 = false;
int s = 0;
s = x[0].b1 ? 1 : 0; <--- Here is problem.

Hi,
I have a CentOS 7 server which shows bug 1487266
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1487266 <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1487266>
It says, it?s fixed in

I updated this package, and now it shows as
java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless-1.8.0.151-1.b12.el7_4.x86_64
So, is there another update coming or are these the same

Bug in as.character? (PR#14206)
A long formula which is converted using as.character, looses its last
part: ``diagonal = 1e-12)''
Shorter formula is ok though.
Best,

concatenate vector after strsplit()
ls is a list of character vectors created by strsplit()
I want to concatenate the 1st 4 character elements of each list item as a new vector called file. I admit to being confused about list syntax even after numerous readings.
Here's what I tried:
ls <- list(c("Focused", "10k", "A12", "t04.tif", "+", "µm"),

restricted coefficient and factor in linear regression.
Hi,
my data set is data.frame(id, yr, y, l, e, k).
I would like to estimate Lee and Schmidts (1993, OUP) model in R.
My colleague wrote SAS code as follows:
** procedures for creating dummy variables are omitted **
** di# and dt# are dummy variables for industry and time **
data a2; merge a1 a2 a; by id yr;
proc sysnlin maxit=100 outest=beta2;
endogenous y;
exogenous l e k

faster GLS code
Dear helpers,
I wrote a code which estimates a multi-equation model with generalized
least squares (GLS). I can use GLS because I know the covariance matrix of
the residuals a priori. However, it is a bit slow and I wonder if anybody
would be able to point out a way to make it faster (it is part of a bigger
code and needs to run several times).
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
