AW: xenified 2.6.29 ready to use tar.gz
Hi Daniel, i''ve tested your kernel with slight modifications to your .config (-> domU only) on 64bit 3.2.1 and 3.3 as guest kernel. Compared to the classic 2.6.18.8 the guests are consuming about 25% more CPU, network IO increased by about 15%, disk IO also. Memory footprint is about 10% less. Maybe there are better caching strategies built into this 2.6.29. I''d like to try

virt-v2v: test-v2v-oa-option.sh: output is not preallocated
Hi All, Thanks to your previous assistance, I'm able to compile virt-v2v 1.42.0 on Debian testing. However, when I run `make check` tests/test-v2v-oa-option.sh fails with the following log: -8<------------------------------------------------------------------ test-v2v-oa-option.sh: info: you can skip this test by setting SKIP_TEST_V2V_OA_OPTION_SH=1 [ 0.0] Opening the source -i libvirt

Placement of attributes
In preparing data sets for the lme library, I bring the data into R, convert it to the groupedData class, which is an extension of the data.frame class, and use "dump" to create an R-readable version. To cut down on the size of these files I convert the row.names attribute from expressions like c("1", "2", ..., "54") to 1:54. I have run into a curious

How can I read time series data to create zoo objects if I have two title lines?
Hello, This is a standard example in which I read the time series data from a csv file and create a zoo object: x0 <- read.csv(file="CPI.csv", header=TRUE) time_0<-as.yearmon("1981-01")+(0:371)/12 x0zoo<-zoo(x0, time_0) The data look like this: TIME CPI CPI_food CPI_Clothes CPI_House CPI_Rent 198101 62.1 55.34 103.45 65.24 61.43 198102 63.16 56.95

Summary functions to dataframe
I have written a few different summary functions. I want to calculate the statistics by groups and I am having trouble getting the output as a dataframe. I have attached one example with a small dataset that calculates summary stats and percentiles, I have others that calculate upper confidence limits etc. I would like the output to be converted to a dataframe with one of the columns as the

R-beta: Solaris 2.4, R-62.1, and regex
With R-62.1 on Solaris 2.4, configure says the system has regcomp though I do not know where it is getting that information. The Solaris 2.4 regex and other regular expression functions are not interchangeable with the GNU regex and libraries used by sub() and gsub(). Hence it is necessary to acquire the GNU version and to get it into the load path ahead of the system libraries to load it rather

R-beta: Re-installing libraries in a new version.
Dear R-helpers, I just upgraded from version 62.1 to 62.2 and now am faced with the same problem I've run into before when upgrading: Is there an easy way to take the libraries I have been using in the older version and pull then into the new version. My organization looks like this on Solaris 2.5.2: /opt -- /R -- /R-0.62.1 --/library -- subdirectories for lots of
