DO NOT REPLY [Bug 2790] Add support for converting filenames into different encodings
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2790
------- Comment #5 from mangoo@interia.pl 2006-03-29 04:11 MST -------
I'm just curious.
Suppose I have rsyncd running on Windows, and want to copy files from there to
a Linux machine.
The problem is that some characters (like German umlauts - ü, ö, ä etc.) are
changed to ? when saved on the Linux side.
Where should I apply this patch?

I've been working on a filename-conversion solution that uses the iconv()
function. After putting a bunch of thought into various designs, I think I
have a good solution that I have coded up as a patch for the latest CVS version

The stable rsync has had --iconv for a while now. Is there a reason this bug
isn't marked fixed? (If someone wants to pursue my idea from comment #10, they
should enter a new bug or at least narrow the summary of this one.)

live migration with DRBD devices
Hi all,
I want to do live migration of domains using DRBD block devices for
synchronisation between the two Xen hosts with Xen 2.0.7.
I''ve written a script ( block-drbd ) which binds / unbinds DRBD devices for
specific domains (with DRBD, only one host can write on a drbd device at the
same time). This script sets the current host as master (bind) or secondary
(unbind) in a DRBD

PRI span problem - no D channel
Hi,
I have the following happen to me after the restart of one of my servers:
out of my 3 PRIs (all configured with the same technical settings), the last
one isn't coming back. It's underutilized (chances it didn't get a call
since my reboot), if it makes a difference .
The PRI goes from provisioned to unprovisioned, and I get this regularly:

Multicast and Router mode
Hi,
I have seen http://www.tinc-vpn.org/pipermail/tinc-devel/2010-October/000473.html
and so tried out for myself to see if multicast would work in tinc
using routing mode. I'm using tinc 1.0.19. My test involved sending a
ping out on 224.1.1.1 (as 224.0.0.0/24 is a special case), and while I
could see the traffic reaching the other tinc daemons, it never seemed
to go out to the local

RPC server is unavailable when using ADUC
Hello.
We're running Samba 4.3.9 AD on two Ubuntu 16.04 LTS machines. I'm managing
AD users and DNS from Windows 10 joined to the domain, by using ADUC.
Last week I noticed the following error when starting ADUC as Administrator
of the AD domain:

Definity Asterisk CallerID Issue
I am hoping someone could shed some light and point me in the right
direction? I'm attempting to get callerid work between an Avaya Definity
PBX and Asterisk via TE110P connected via T1/PRI Crossover PRI. From the
Definity side I've searched endlessly and came with an example which we
modeled as close as we can, but still no luck. While doing PRI intense

Memory leak - how to investigate
My web & name server runs out of memory from time to time, to the point
where it's completely unresponsive to anything. At that point reset is
the only alternative. (Or, as this is a virtual guest, I just say "virsh
destroy").
But why this happens - I would like to know.
The host in question is a KVM guest, and runs CentOS 6.4.

win2k will not authenticate when logging in
For a few weeks now we have been trying to research why our domain
will not authenticate when we are logging in. The Samba logs indicate
that our computers properly add into the domain, however after
rebooting and attempting to log in we recieve an error message stating
that our computer account is not in the domain.
After reading the logs we have realized that Samba is indeed recieving

Help building view to pass query to controller
I am very new to programming and would like to configure the following:
I want to configure a page that displayes some graphs. These graphs
pull its data from a sql table. What I would like to do is configure a
view .erb to have a search field that will take text and inject it to
part of a pre-configured sql query I have setup in a model. I will try
to explain as best I can with code.

CP1000PFCLCD really high output voltage
Hi! I just installed a new CP1000PFCLCD (Cyber Power PFC Sinewave UPS) and everything appears to be working correctly, except that I have an oddly high output voltage reading from nut. All of the other values seem consistent with what the front-panel LCD says except for this one.
Is this something that needs a correction factor, or perhaps the value the driver is reading has been remapped? BTW,
