I can't get mod_auth_ntlm_winbind to work
Scenario: Centos 5 x86_64 machine with samba-3.0.23c-2.el5.2.0.2 The machine is a PDC, Windows 2000 users logon, get profiles, etc. I'm trying to set up a folder in apache that uses NTLM authentication using mod_auth_ntlm_winbind. I've followed: http://adldap.sourceforge.net/mod_auth_ntlm_winbind.php winbindd is running, and ntlm_auth seems to work: # ntlm_auth --username=pdc2

Debugging with gdb
I tried to run gdb in linux with emacs But could not even run a simple example in the writing extensions tutorial. The execution history is as follows. Gdb worked fine for other debugging such as C++ codes. Thanks Han I started R at echo of emacs by typing (also tried other methods mentioned in the tutorial both in emacs and xterm.) freebsd 7, panics - kqueue?
Hi, We have a issue with a server pretty much just running dovecot, there's about 250gb of maildirs which has about 200 simultaneous connections to it running on freebsd 7. The machine has stayed up for about 8 days before it panics but sometimes panics after about 24 hours. We are running a PAE kernel (with ULE scheduler) as the machine has 2 (4 core processors) and 8gb of ram, dovecot is

Samba AD/DC Sync To Windows DC Failures
I just added a window server 2008 r2 to be a backup DC for our samba 4.4.5 AD/DC but I am getting an error when trying to manually sync samba to the windows server. I used the link on the wiki site to make the initial sync, which worked great ยง <https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Joining_a_Windows_Server_2008_/_2008_R2_ DC_to_a_Samba_AD> Joining a Windows Server 2008 / 2008 R2 DC to a

Validate Ids Multiple DC
If you add the "not" supported winbind options from the member also to the DCs, then you will have the same resulting uid on all servers. Official not supported, but works now for more then a year here. Samba backtrace on network copy
Hi all, I have an issue when copying large amounts of small files (say 10,000 or so) from a Samba share across the network. On a Windows machine it errors with: "Configuration information could not be read from the domain controller, either because the machine is unavailable, or access has been denied.". Linux just says it can't find the file. The log file says something like
