Thank you very much in advance for any help! Best regards, Mauro -- Dr.

Equivalent RHEL package for CentOS httpd package?
I'm trying to find out if a particular RedHat patch has been ported to CentOS yet. In particular, this vulnerability: CVE-2011-3607 According to this: https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2012-0323.html it has been patched as of httpd-2.2.3-63.el5_8.1.x86_64.rpm Now, in the latest CentOS repository, I find httpd-2.2.3-63.el5.centos.1.x86_64.rpm Is this the same (or later) release? Special metaformat for ogg-files with multiple tracks
This is just an idea and the subject basically says it all: What if there would be some special ogg meta- (or archive-) format that allowed a single file to contain multiple, independently playable tracks. In it's simplest form this file would probably just be a concatenated version of individual ogg files with some header saying where a certain track ends and the next one starts. Regards,

LDAP Domain Trust
I have a small problem. I'm an LDAP newbie, and am having trouble getting Samba to authenticate. What I have is an LDAP tree, with the samba.schema loaded in out LDAP configuration. I already tested smb.conf without ldap-sam compiled in, and it authenticates just fine to smbpasswd and locally added machine trust accounts. Submitted for your assistance: Prelim: 1. Hi, I've been trying to pass a character vector from R to a FORTRAN subroutine. There have been several posts discussing this issue (e.g. http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/help/98a/0547.html, http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/help/05/10/13558.html, http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/help/01a/2577.html, http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/help/01c/1795.html,

puppet dashboard and 64-bit mysql
I was looking forward to trying this out, given the puported Solaris support. However, in attempting to install the prereqs for dashboard, I hit a major snag. My main server uses the blastwave MySQL install, which is a 64-bit version of MySQL 5. mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.90, for pc-solaris2.10 (x86_64) Apparently the mysql bindings for ruby don''t like the 64-bit version. can't create user entries in smbpasswd
Hi all, after installing samba 2.2.5 (on Solaris8 running NIS+) it is not possible to create user entries in smbpasswd. I generated the smbpasswd file by # cat /dev/null | /samba/samba-2.2.5/source/script/mksmbpasswd.sh > /usr/local/samba/private/smbpasswd ----- then tried to create user entry "dummy" in smbpasswd by (user "dummy" exists under NIS+) # smbpasswd -a dummy
