Recommendations for Infiniband with CentOS 6.7
Hi All,
We looking for suggestions on dealing with mellanox drivers in CentOS 6.7
We tried installing mellanox drivers
(MLNX_OFED_LINUX-3.2-2.0.0.0-rhel6.7-x86_64) on a Quanta Cirrascale
server running Centos 6.7 - 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64. When we
rebooted the machine after installing the drivers, it went into a kernel
panic for every installed kernel except for Centos 6.7

Recommendations for Infiniband with CentOS 6.7
We have a new install of CentOS 6.7 with infiniband support installed.
We can see the card in hardware and we can see the mlx4 drivers loaded
in the kernel but cannot see the card as an ethernet interface, using
ifconfig -a. Can you recommend an install procedure to see this as an
ethernet interface?
Thanks

Kernel 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64, higher than usual load
Hi,
After switching to the 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64 kernel (CentOS 6) a few weeks ago I have noticed that my servers are now reporting a much higher idle load.
The servers are being monitored with Zabbix, and there is a clear difference between the older kernel 2.6.32-573.12.1 and the newer 2.6.32-573.12.1.
I can see the problem on both physical and virtual servers.
You can see the Load

CentOS6: Building a modified kernel rpm
I'm very confused on the right step to use to setup a modified kernel in centOS6.
As a simple user, I've downloaded the latests sources (I'm runing an old kernel
version) :
rpm -i
http://vault.centos.org/6.7/updates/Source/SPackages/kernel-2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.src.rpm
in the spec file ~/rpmbuild/SPECS/kernel.spec I've set:
%define buildid .numa
Now I want to set

CentOS6: Building a modified kernel rpm
Dear Akemi,
I'm really ashamed, in "https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/I_need_the_Kernel_Source"
I've missed the last 5 lines following the CentOS5 section. All is now clear for
me on the process to follow to build a new kernel from source rpm and the
CONFIG_NUMA_EMU option is active.
I've set it with make menuconfig to avoid some additional mistakes in the config
file.

Hard drives being renamed
Hi,
We are running Centos 6.7 - 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64 on a Quanta
Cirrascale, up to date with patches. We have had a couple of instances
in which the hard drives have become renamed after reboot (e.g. drive
sda is renamed to sdc after reboot). One time this occurred when we
rebooted following the installation of a 10GB NIC card, another time
after we tried to install mellanox drivers

kvm: centos 7 guest on centos 6 host network problems
Hi,
i'm rather new to kvm. now i set up a centos 7 guest on a centos 6 kvm
host.
when i try to use bridged networking in the centos7 guest this works for
the interface that uses eth1/br1 on the host. when i try to use a second
interface in the guest with eth0/br0 on the host this brings the host
interface down as soon as i do ip configuration in the guest (so it
seems). eth0 shall have
