grub2-mkconfig strange error
When I run "grub2-mkconfig" on my CentOS-7.1 desktop I get the warning (4 times) /usr/sbin/grub2-probe: error: cannot find a GRUB drive for /dev/block/8. Check your device.map. What exactly does this mean? My device map looks perfectly normal to me: [root at helen ~]# cat /boot/grub2/device.map (hd0) /dev/sda (hd1) /dev/sdb This makes me reluctant to boot into

kmod-nvidia problems
Hi List, I use the kmod-nvidia package on my CentOS workstations. Always this has "just worked". cups-1.3.7-32.el5_11.x86_64 may have a problem
Everyone, I have a problem I have been chasing for about three weeks and only occurred after cups was updated with cups-1.6.3-22.el7.??I would be interested as to whether any one else has had this problem, and would entertain suggestions as to how I can debug the problem. CentOS 7 magically rebooted!
CentOS Linux release 7.2.1511 (Core) Hi, Last night our CentOS 7 server rebooted. Seemingly it's a very clean reboot. I can't find a shred of evidence as to why it happened though. Hi, Trying to get rawlog working on dovecot 2.2.31 configured as per https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Debugging/Rawlog but a) it doesnt appear to be loggin anything b) rawlog_dir which is supposed to be v2.2.26+ seems no where in site .. in fact complains about unknown variable So does rawlog still do anything ???? yum / rpm kernel problems - CentOS 7.2
This is the second time I have come across a problem with yum / rpm and kernel packages with CentOS 7. Corrupted index cache file - migration with zlib
Hi I'm migrating some mailboxes from an old dovecot system where mailboxes are stored maildir uncompressed. I enabled zlib on the new system and migrated an account: doveadm -o mail_fsync=never backup -R -u tonyg imapc: when the account connects to the new system after a while i'm seeing the following error and the mailbox is no longer functioning: Jan 15 13:58:06 S611 dovecot:
