Firefox view downloads folder - changed program
Hi All, A short while back, Firefox changed from using (I believe) Dolphin to using gwenview when I choose 'view in container' or 'view all downloads'. The problem with this is that when I choose 'view in containter' it no longer selects the appropriate file. Does anyone know how to change it back? I'm using C7 with KDE Gary

bthprops.cpl Missing + Wrong Architecture Error...
Hello. I'm trying to use Dolphin Emulator (32bit, revision 7120) with Wine so I could use it's Direct3D capabilities (hence why I don't use the Linux port). I have two problems doing so: 1. I'm using Ubuntu 64bit, with Wine 1.3.13. Even though Dolphin is 32bit, I'm getting the error: Code: "Trying to load PE image for unsupported architecture (AMD-64)" 2. I get 2

I broke "yum update" - C7
This evening I decided to do some work on my development C7 system. As I have not touched it for a while, and wanted to install new services I thought I'd better yum update first. I saw that it only did updates from Google and PHP, and none from the system repo's so I had a closer look. It showed certificate errors on a number of repo's. [root at stan2 ~]# yum update Loaded plugins:

[Flac-users] error: FLAC required!
Hi everybody! I'm in trouble again, could you help me? This time I can't get deal with "flac-tools" and other programs that use libFLAC. They just refuse compiling and complain for some functions indefinition. I have flac-1.0.4 already installed with ordinary: ./configure && make && make install. Read down for the details please. Configuring flac-tools:

PHP handler for .html files - C7
Morning all, I am finally moving some old (F9 thru F17) servers to C7 (Plus PHP7/Pgsql10) boxes. On the old boxes they all had it set so that .htm and .html files were handled by PHP in addition to the normal .php files. This was done with the simple change to: AddHandler php5-script .php .htm .html AddType text/html .php .htm .html in /etc/httpd/conf.d/php.inc. I did the same on my first

How do I default to "Folder View" in my custom KDE user profile?
Hi, I'm currently busy tweaking KDE 4.14 on CentOS 7 to my needs. I want to use it as a base for an enterprise class desktop. In my humble opinion, CentOS' default KDE configuration is not very usable, so I created a default user profile that looks more like what openSUSE looked like a few years back. Here's the little script I'm using to install the various configuration files

Re-install workstation - best repo's
I'm going to rebuild my workstation because maintaining it is now a nightmare after using "recommended" repo's that now conflict with each other. Every time I do a yum update I it fails with conflicts. I'm looking for new recommendations for which repo's to use to have a stable Centos 7 workstation. Much like Centos itself, most of the web pages are very old now.

Tagging Flac-files in GNU/Linux and Windows
I posted this in the Hydrogenaudio Forums (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=31347) but I'll post it here as well, hope that's ok... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, I am having a lot of problems with tagging FLAC-files. I edited the tags in XMMS (in Linux) using the FLAC plugin, version 1.1.o. Playback worked fine with

[Patch] for easytag tag editor to add speex tagging
Hi All, The following patch is for the http://easytag.sourceforge.net/ software to add speex support. Since easytag uses vcedit.c & vcedit.h that are directly copied from http://svn.xiph.org/trunk/vorbis-tools/vorbiscomment/ the diff's that I made to add speex support, i thought that the diff I made would very much apply to the vorbiscomment developers. smbfs hang with moderate use
This may not be the place to talk about smbfs, but it's also possible this is a samba problem... Here's the situation, I mount a share on my Linux client from a Linux samba server, and it seems to work okay at first... If I try and play a video from the share, it hangs after an unspecified time, maybe 5-10 mins... if I try and play multiple video's, or let konquror try and

UBO support for nouveau broken
I myself am not that well-versed in c and opengl - especially opengl - I can read and write basic c code but that's my limit. The problem only appears when using an offset that's not zero.If you want to debug the issue you could very well use the dolphin-emu and apitrace. You can find one apitrace here http://markus.members.selfnet.de/dolphin/dolphin-emu.trace (~48M) The only 2 reasons I

UBO support for nouveau broken
Thomas, OK, thanks for the update. I don't have a working machine with NV graphics that supports UBOs. Could you compile and run a test program for me if I wrote it? Though it may appear to not work for UBO offsets other than 0, there may be another pattern here, such as multiple of page size or something crazy like that. If we can find more information, it may help other developers. Patrick
