Software RAID complete drives or individual partitions
I have been reading about software raid. I configured my first software raid system about a month ago. I have 4 500 Gig drives configured in RAID 5 configuration with a total of 1.5TB. Currently I configured the complete individual drivers as software raid, then created a /dev/md0 with the drives I then created a /file_storage partition on /dev/md0. testing my servers performance
I want to know how I can test my servers full performance on the given hardware I am having a Xen based setup. CentOS 6 guest OS does not detect reboot/shutdown signal from virt-manager
My setup is as follows: Host OS: Debian Wheezy amd64 stock kernel (3.2), virt-manager v0.9.1 Guest VMs: A bunch of Linux based servers - CentOS 6, Debian 6/7, Ubuntu 12.04 (all amd64 with stock kernel).
