Trouble with install, still
I've tried building it on a server that I know has pretty much every
library possible for a program to need, but I'm still not getting a
good samba install.
I'm on white-dwarf linux (kernel 2.4.25), gcc 3.3.2, Samba 3.0.2a
White-dwarf is home-grown, very much like slackware.
When I configure and make and make install, I don't get any errors, but
I when I look for some files

Cpus_allowed_list issue in RHEL6.4
Hi All,
I am using RHEL 6.4 on a Dell Server with 32 cores.
But in the Cpus_allowed_list only 30 cores are available. Why is that?
See the snippet from cat /proc/self/status:
Cpus_allowed: 7fff7fff
Cpus_allowed_list: 0-14,16-30
The allowed list is same for the init process as well (see below).
I didn't see this issue, in RHEL 6.2.
Why is that? Is there a way to change it?

What is /etc/subuid ?
Dear Experts,
Could someone enlighten me about the following file:
/etc/subuid
? This file appears to be owned by "setup" package. This is CentOS 7
system, and until now these files if existed were never changed. Today I
have added user quite routine way, by doing
/usr/sbin/groupadd -g 4500 [username]
/usr/sbin/useradd -g [username] -u 4500 -c "User Name, email at domain"

Problem in Binning of a data set
Hello,
I am having problem with binning the data. I have a 50X3 matrix and I binned
the data for all the 3 columns. Using table command I got the total no. of
elements in a particular bin.
Could you please tell me how to see that what all elements are there in a
particular bin and then create a different matrix for each bin?
Thanks.

Sumit

Problem with zcat uncompressing man pages
Hi
When I read 'certain' -- not all -- man pages zcat writes a small error to stderr when opening the man page; however, the man page does actually open. The message i get on the terminal is:
zcat: error writing to output: Broken pipe
zcat: /usr/local/man/man5/muttrc.5.gz: uncompress failed
When closing the man page, another message is shown on stderr:

rsync-2.5.6 build on Red Hat 8.0 fails
The packaging/lsb/rsync.spec file is broken as shipped: It has a "Sept"
month (rpmbuild here takes only 3-letter month names), and RH gzips the
manpages, so the %files list can't find them. I also added doc/README-SGML
and doc/rsync.sgml to the %doc files. Patch follows.
Thanks for all the good work!
