This scanner is supported according to the SANE page, but doesn't work on my up-to-date C7 system (updated 20 minutes ago). The Canon web site is as expected - as useful as a chocolate tea pot. Apparently I hadn't done any scanning since my move to centos. hp-scan works for root, but not for me as me. When I try to use xsane, it tells me no device found. Hello listmates, xsane on Ubuntu 10 finds that Canon PIXMA via the web and seems to be able to make use of it without a glitch. However, Centos machines sitting on the same net fail to find it.
