Openshot 2.x (beta) on C7??
I'm interested in trying out the new OpenShot beta (2.06) on CentOS 7. Openshot requires Python3. so I look at available packages where I find a bunchof python3 packages as well as python34 packages. I'm assuming that python34 is version 3.4 of python, while python3 is some other 3.x version. Can anyone here explain to me what are the differences, any compatibility across these

low latency kernel?
Someone recently posted on the x2go list that he had a problem with jerky videos playing remotely on Ubuntu, but solved it by installing a low latency kernel that was available as an alternative. That made me curious as to whether CentOS has an equivalent - or a way to build something similar. -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell at gmail.com

virtualization on the desktop a myth, or a reality?
I am busy setting up some XEN servers on a SAN for high availability and Cloud Computing, and thought it could be cool to setup virtualization on a CentOS 5.5 Desktop, running on a Core i3 + 4GB RAM, and use the SAN's storage to see if it could actually be worth my while to replicate a Cloud Computing setup in the office. And, cause I got a bit bored waiting for a few RAID-sets to finish

Normalizing WAV files
Hey all, I've been googling trying to find a tool that I can use to normalize a directory full of WAV files. I found a reference to normalize in the atrpms repo but it wants to clobber several of the base rpms. Does anyone know of a tool in CentOS 6 that can normalize a directory full of WAV files that I can install without hosing up my system? -- _ ?v? /(_)\ ^ ^ Mark LaPierre

CR getting 7.2 packages......
Heads-up to everyone: CR is getting CentOS 7.1511 (aka '7.2') packages..... just updated using CR, and, yeah, GNOME 3.14 is a bit different from 3.8...... several things are in different places on the screen. I did have to re-setup my triple monitor settings to have the laptop's display in the center and the two other displays as one on the left and one on the right. The good

Sender phone ringing while recipient talking
I've had asterisk running for about a month now between our PBX and our T1, and everything seems fine but for one simple nit-pick: When a call to the outside workd is made, and if the recipient picks up while a the sender's phone is still relaying the ring, the sender won't be heard until after the ring stops. This often translates a simple "hello?" into a

[VT-D]iommu.c:775: iommu_page_fault: iommu->reg = ffff828bfff57000
Hello, I have been working sometime now on getting a HVM accepting a PCI card from the host. As was said in the VT-D wiki I bought an ASUS P5E VM DO motherboard (rel 0803) which has the VT-D option in the bios. I want to pass a Hauppauge PVR 500 card to a virtual machine running LinuxMCE. After first trying XEN 3.2.1 which did not enable the "VT-D virtualisation" bit in xm dmesg, i

[LLVMdev] LLVM Coverage GCDA Flush API
Ah, my mistake. So this already works. Can we disable secondary_bus_reset in runtime?
I think we need this feature at least for debugging purpose, right? Or, do we already have this feature? Thanks, Neo -- I would remember that if researchers were not ambitious probably today we haven''t the technology we are using! _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

[LLVMdev] LLVM Coverage GCDA Flush API
Why does __gcov_flush only flush the current compilation unit? For gcc __gcov_flush flushes all of the loaded files. Is there a way to have __gcov_flush flush everything? -- John Harrison On Wed, Feb 6, 2013 at 10:24 AM, John Harrison <ash.gti at gmail.com> wrote: > Ah, my mistake. So this already works. [Q]Are Intel''s ICH9 chipsets supported by xen-3.2?
Hi All, I found it very difficult to get Xen-3.1 up on a a machine with Intel''s ICH9 family of disk controllers :-(. Is the ICH9 support really there in xen-3.2 ? I tried but was not successful in booting even xen-3.2 from xen.org. Did anyone have a success? Or any help on what extra config options I need to pass while compiling a domain0 from xen sources? Thanks, -- Pradeep Singh

Yikes! It only flushes the counts for the current compilation unit? That sounds like a terrible bug. Can you file a bugzilla report, please?
