Samba update to 4.10 (on Centos 7.8) - broken -?
hi guys
I've just let the system to get big update to 7.8 and with
it came new Samba(4.10.4-10.el7.x86_64), a version with now
fails on my boxes for no apparent reasons.
My Samba uses LDAP backend but I can see no errors related
to that neither.

one brick one volume process dies?
Additionally the brick log file of the same brick would be required. Please
look for if brick process went down or crashed. Doing a volume start force
should resolve the issue.

one brick one volume process dies?
hi everyone
I have 3-peer cluster with all vols in replica mode, 9 vols.
What I see, unfortunately, is one brick fails in one vol,
when it happens it's always the same vol on the same brick.
Command: gluster vol status $vol - would show brick not online.
Restarting glusterd with systemclt does not help, only
system reboot seem to help, until it happens, next time.
How to troubleshoot this

Upgrade DC 4.5 -> 4.8, timings?
Hai Marco.
Just upgrade it. ;-)
It's not needed to move FSMO roles, in the last 4 years of upgradeing..
I did that exactly... 0 times.
Steps shown work fine. ;-)

Thank you very much to both of you. I'm going to check those documents
that happened to me. I started working in that place and I found this
AD that had years without maintenance. and the little that was done to
him was very deficient. I try to check what happened to me and tell
them how it went.

samba over nfs mount and free space problem
Hi All,
I see a strange behavior with samba server and nfs mounts.
We have a number of shares mounted via nfs on the smabaserver.
When I connect from apple mac computers to a samba share which is an nfs
mountpoint, the free space of the share is reported as zero.
And obviously Finder is not able to copy anything to the share because
it thinks that there is no free space left.
But copy from the

Problem compiling 1.2.2 on solaris
I am trying to run the configure for 1.2.2 on an intel solaris 2.7 box
and I get an error for urandom not found.
I cant find anything related to rand, urand, random, rng, or urandom on
my box.
How can I get around this, or where can I get urandom?

DC join failed
Hai,
Try this first.
Change : /etc/krb5.conf
[libdefaults]
default_realm = CONYLEC.LOCAL
dns_lookup_realm = true
dns_lookup_kdc = true
Change to
[libdefaults]
default_realm = CONYLEC.LOCAL
dns_lookup_realm = false
dns_lookup_kdc = true
There is no need to lookup the REALM in the DNS, its the Default REALM.
Then try again to join.
But now

CTDB and samba private dir (+ldap)
hi everyone
an attempt to set up a cluster, I'm reading around and see
some howto writers would say to put "private dir on the FS
cluster" - one question I have: is this correct? necessary?
I have partial success, I get:

pnn:1 10.5.6.49 UNHEALTHY (THIS NODE)

I'm new to asterisk and try to get it work with capi.so. When I try to
start asterisk with "asterisk -vvvvc" I get the following errors. I
couldn't find any hint on the net what may be wrong in my configs.
Has anybody got a hint?
Here is the error output:
