One of the things I like about Oracle Linux is that they

Missing PHP Redis package in Software Collections ?
Hi,
I'm currently fine-tuning OwnCloud on a CentOS 7 server. To configure
transactional locking, I need Redis with the corresponding PHP module.
Until recently the server has been running PHP 7.1. I simply installed
the 'redis' package as well as 'sclo-php71-php-pecl-redis', started
and/or restarted a handful of services, and things worked perfectly.
Now I'm upgrading my

Issue with pkgconf when upgrading to 4.4.1
Hi all,
I am running Ubuntu 20.04.6 (focal) (yes, planning to upgrade soon) and just updated to 4.4.1. However, the process did not quite go as smoothly. 'sudo apt upgrade' ran but 'r-base-dev' was not updated because of a dependency issue:
[08:57] ? wviechtb at wv-x5 ? ~/ ? sudo apt upgrade r-base-dev

2 package resources for the same package installation in two differents modules caused errors
Hello,
We had the following situation where including two classes that were
ensuring the installation of the same package "php5-imagick" and it
was causing an error indicating that two ressources of the same name
are forbidden (sorry, I don''t have the exact message error since we
fixed quickly the error).
Since we are newbies in puppet, we would like to understand what this

Wrong version of php
It's been a while since I updated to php72 on this machine and there is some setting I must have forgotten. Apache, root and a user automatically get php72 when I run php in a terminal window, however, a php script picks up the wrong version of php, ie php54 and the version of php in /usr/bin/php is indeed version 5.4.
I have googled without finding the answer but how do I make sure /all/
