totem fails to open .wmv file
Hey All, Totem has stopped playing .wmv files recently. I don't know exactly when this happened, but I know I've played .wmv files not too very long ago. I've got 372 .wmv files all of which I've played at one time. When I try to launch any one of the .wmv files from file manager totem pops up but the controls are not functional. If I start totem from a terminal there is no

Sound Stutters and Sputters then dies
Hey Y'all, Recently my sound has been misbehaving. The issue exists when I play sound using Rhythmbox, Totem Movie Player, or even Youtube video in Firefox or Chrome. The sound stutters and drops out. Sounds very rough. On Youtube the sound will eventually just die and can not be restarted until the browser is shut down and restarted. I've had issues related to Repo Forge

RPM file download
I see a package "x246-0.120-5.20120303.el6 (i686)" available in my Add/Remove Software tool. I can't find said package in any of the repos I've searched through. Can anyone point me to a link where I can download that package to my local repo? -- _ ?v? /(_)\ ^ ^ Mark LaPierre Registerd Linux user No #267004 https://linuxcounter.net/ ****

Missing Dependency python-yubico
Hey all, I'm trying to install the fedora-packager group so that I can build Fedora source packages into RPMs that I can install. 6.4 : How to enable epel and the rpmfusions??
I've installed 6.4 on an old T30 ThinkPad, and I'm in the midst of setting it up. I can't seem to get an rpm of Pan for it, nor even to do yum update. Mousing around fedoraproject eventually got me to http:// rpmfusion.org/Configuration/ and from there to downloads for the free, nonfree, and epel packages (along with a caveat that tells you -- *after* you've gotten rpmfusion

CentOS 8 kernel-4.18.0-193 shim issue
Hey All, Is it safe to allow the 193 series kernel update now? Last time I tried that my system refused to boot. I had to roll back to the 4.18.0-147 kernel to get my machine to reboot. Since that happened I've been watching this mail list for acknowledgement that the problem has been corrected while refusing the kernel update. I may have missed the announcement that the issue was

Desperate plea for help with printer share
Hey Y'all, I've been trying for months to get samba to share my printer with my wife's Win XP machine. I've RTFM, and spent hours on google to no avail. I can't see the printer from Windows so I can't mount it up. Nothing appears in the logs. The file shares work just fine. It looks like I've got Samba 3.6.9 on this machine: [mlapier at mushroom samba]$ rpm -qa
