Linux host / Windows guest sharing
Hi, I'm almost give up again because for a day I try to access my windows kvm guest from FC20 :) I've tried everything including virtio mapping mount -t 9p -o trans=virtio,version=9p2000.L hostshare /tmp/hostfiles where I get the following messages mount: special device hostshare does not exist --- --- to be honest clipboard sharing would be enough for me, so I googled why it is not

Qxl problem with xen domU, is xen spice and/or qemu bugs?
I''ve been trying to have all spice features working on xen domUs since the end of 2011. Basic functions were already working. Adding qemu parameters manually for vdagent and usbredirection was and is also working (I made the patches to support them directly on xl). Qxl was never working: one bug on xen and one on qemu about qxl are fixed, the other xen bug found months ago on the

Re: [virt-tools-list] Linux host / Windows guest sharing
The spice-vdagent should be running in the guest. Have you installed the spice guest tools in your windows guest? Download them here: http://www.spice-space.org/download.html That should get clipboard sharing working. ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Laszlo Pal" <vlad@vlad.hu> > To: libvirt-users@redhat.com, virt-tools-list@redhat.com > Sent: Thursday, March 20,

KVM Linux Guest Resolution only 1024x768
Dear All, I'm trying to install a Debian Wheezy KVM guest on a CentOS 6.4 Host. The only resolutions supported are 1024x768 or 800x600. I increased the video RAM to 500 MB, but the guest still says: [ 10.321] (II) CIRRUS(0): Not using default mode "1920x1200" (insufficient memory for mode) Only 32 MB are recognized: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Cirrus Logic GD 5446

Re: [iGVT-g] GVT-g - suboptimal user experience
Hello. All features are about usability and simple user experience. 1. Its about local display / dmabuf feature. Currently user needs to use virt-viewer tool. But virt-manager already incorporates graphical console. It would be nice if it could support accelerated gvt-g local display. Preferably with minimum performance overhead. Also virt-manager should allow to use mdev videocard alone,

W2k3 with more than one QXL video card
Hi, Is that possible? If I start in normal VGA mode I can see yellow ! next to the 2nd and 3rd QXL card and Win complains about can't start (Code 10). If I want to change the normal VGA resolution in a higher res (for example 800x600) I got black screen in virt-manager. I use SPICE protocol (for more screens). Any solution? W2k3 R2 Ent. Ed. SPICE with Upstream QEMU and qxl VGA cause Windows BSOD
Hi all, These days I installed xen 4.3 unstable from source and recompiled qemu upstream with spice support. After xl create , the windows domU started successfully and spice client can visit the VDI. However, it display blue screen before entering the windows welcome screen. Re: error: internal error: missing backend for pool type 11 (zfs)
@Michal: Thanks for your reply! Indeed I have found a package in the AUR (libvirt-zfs) and only had to change to the current version and add zfs-utils as dependency in the PKGBUILD. Now I don't get the previous error anymore but I still cannot setup a VM because I constantly get errors due to wrong permissions. I have tried to change the permissions in: - /etc/libvirt/qemu.conf -

[PATCH v2] Handle xen_platform_pci=0 case
Hi, Here is a little patch that attempt to fix the issue regarding xen_platform_pci=0 not been handled. There is one patch left from the previous version. The patch that was adding qemu_machine_override have been removed as it is unnecessary. If someone wants to change the -machine, it can always add it to device_model_args_hvm, as QEMU appear to use the last one. Regards, Anthony PERARD (1):
