CentOS 8 and DELL 7540 Intel AX200 WIFI
Hello all, I recently bought a brand new Dell Precision 7540 laptop.? Before buying I checked the specifications from the RedHat hardware list and they said that it was "fully RedHat 8 Certified" and listed all the hardware that was "certified" to work with that laptop. https://access.redhat.com/ecosystem/hardware/3979771 I have had good results the last few years with

intel wifi and bridging - have u done it?
changed mode from router to switch on 2 Linux and 2 WinXP nodes. configured Linux bridging per the website and that worked for hardwired ethernet over cat5. For the wifi wireless xp clients, i didnt have any luck. Maybe i did something wrong, but it seems so easy to create a bridge in xp. highlight 2 or more nics, right click and choose bridge. Did it numerous tmes years ago, but not sure w

CentOS 7 32-bit WiFi Hardware Switch
Not exactly linux-dependent. According to the docs for the Latitude 620 (available on dell dot com), the wireless switch is on the left side. Slide it towards the front, until its raised position indicator is aligned with the I ("off" is aligned with the O). The WiFi power indicator is on the front panel, in a group with about 4 LEDs... the WiFi indicator appears to actually *say*

Configure WiFi at install on CentOS Stream 9
Hi, I'm trying to install CS-9 and need to have WiFi setup on boot. I've tried installing with KVM as a test but only get the choice of an ethernet connection at install time. I've tried installing onto a spare laptop and it gives a choice of ethernet or WiFi for network connections. I choose WiFi and it allows me to configure the WiFi. It detects the network and the IP-address.

OT: Quad-band cellphones with wifi & stablesipsupport
Its not quad band and in my opinion doesn't perform well enough to be used for anything but basic email and phone calls. This phone, even on the newest version of firmware (Sprint) hangs when syncing with exchange to the point where you miss calls even though you tried to answer them. If you turn on wifi or Bluetooth, it simply compounds the problems. It will also require (literally) a

Centos7- WiFi not recognized - HWaddress - Or Any Idea
Hello, I recently installed centos7+Gnome on my macbook air , at first start the wireless adaptor , which is the (infamous?) BCMA4360 , seemed to work because I was asked to choose the network and provided password, but thereafter wifi did not appear, so I can connect to the Internet only by cable. Googling a few days and checking on my computer I found the following:- the infamous wifi adapter

Headless Centos 7 "File and Print Server" install - configure WIFI
Google has done it's usual job and returned lots of results but not led me to a solution. I've just build a Centos 7 "File and Print Server" config, i.e. no screen/keyboard/mouse and no GUI installed. The LAN connection has worked out of the box and I can SSH into the server without issue. However, I cannot find out how to configure the WIFI connection which I need in

Good wifi NIC?
Good morning, I'm looking for a good USB Wifi NIC that will work with the kernel modules for a stock CentOS 8.1. I have an ALFA AWUS036ACH NIC but it looks like the drivers need to compiler for the kernel and I'm having trouble with that. So I'd like something that works, but not necessarily high performing, so I can build the drivers for the ALFA NIC. Thanks! Jeff

Anyone using VoIP WiFi phones?
The only advantage is when you travel. Last year I took my wifi sip phone to Astricon in Madrid and everything worked as expected. I am just packing it and heading for Paris... If your laptop/server/smth is permanently wired to the internet, there's no problem to bridge this interface to the VM.
