Virt-manager question
Hi All - I am using virt-manager on CentOS 7.
My definition had a CDROM, my first install did not have the network active
so it failed.
I have activated the network. now when I boot - I not longer see the
CDROM start to install.
How do I get that back ? My OS is still not installed.
Thanks,

very low performance of Xen guests
Hello
??? For the past months I've been testing upgrading my Xen hosts to
CentOS 7 and I face an issue for which I need your help to solve.
??? The testing machines are IBM blades, model H21 and H21XM. Initial
tests were performed on the H21 with 16 GB RAM; during the last 6=7
weeks I've been using the H21XM with 64 GB. In all cases the guests were

Libvirt Error Creating VMs for Nimbus Cloud
Hello,
I am having an issue with libvirt in my Nimbus cloud setup. When I use the
Nimbus VM creation test scripts on a VMM node (using libvirt), the VM is
created without a problem. However, when I attempt to create a new VM using
Nimbus (which then tries to create the VM on the VMM node), I encounter the
following error:

Voicemail notification by email is missing CallerID info
All;
I am running Asterisk 11.6-cert16 and I have voicemail setup so
voicemail messages are sent as email attachments. That works fine. However,
the body of the email contains the CallerID(name), but is missing the
CallerID(num). For example, the email body looks like this:
Just wanted to let you know you were just left a 0:21 long message

Backup a VM (using live external snapshot and blockcommit)
Hi.
I'm following here a conversation that was initiated on Kashyap's
website [1].
We have a server we use as a host for virtual machines using KVM
(virt-manager used for VM creation) and we would like to setup VM
backups. Basically, we're thinking of a backup schedule like "keep 7
daily and 4 weekly backups". We'd rather not shutdown the VM every day
so live backups

Port forwarding for KVM
Hi all,
Let me illustrate what I want to do. I want to launch a QEMU
"inside" a KVM virtual machine, then get that QEMU's vnc output.
I am using libvirt 0.9.13 (`libvirtd --version`), and attach is
my vm's original config xml. Is there a simple way to achieve my goal?
I was told that iptable solution I found on the web is for "tap"
interface, and I can use

QEMU virt-manager video device
I am trying to use the Video Virtio device and set it to Virtio (to get
resolutions higher that 800x600).
My host is CentOS 7 and my guest is CentOS 8.
When I set the virtio for video - I get an add about QEMU does not support
'virtio' video device.
Do I not have something loaded ? Real question is how to get video higher
than 800x600. I tried every selection there Cirrus , QXL, VGA,

XCP 1.0 beta : NOOB: how do i log into a newly created VM?
Hi:
Sorry for the basic NOOB question but I managed to create a VM but now I
am stuck. On page 26 of the XCP Virtual Machine Installation Guide it
says "VNC and perform the OS installation". I tried everything I could
find (listed below) but I am stuck. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Here are two questions whose answers would really help:

VNC server not reponding to external requests
Hello everyone:
I tried following the instructions on this page to set up a VNC

I can telnet to port 5901 from the machine itself:

Connected to 127.0.0.1.

strange phenomenon on CPU affinity
Hello,
My testing machine has 2 quad-core CPU (It supports hyperthreading,
but i disable it in BIOS). I uses Xen 4.0.1 as the hypervisor. When I use 8
VMs to conduct a test, CPU affinity of the VMs is very strange. Like this:

Domain-0 8 any

VM2 4 1,3,5,7
VM3 4 1,3,5,7
