So I'll just respond here. I've been

pcieport 0000:00:01.0: PME: Spurious native interrupt (nvidia with nouveau and thunderbolt on thinkpad P73)
Ok, I have an update to this problem. I added the nouveau list because I can't quite tell if the issue is: - the PCIe changes that went in 5.6 I think (or 5.5?), referenced below - a new issue with thunderbold on thinkpad P73, that seems to be triggered if I have a USB-C yubikey in the port. With 5.7, my issues went away if I removed the USB key during boot, showing an interaction

CentOS 8 and DELL 7540 Intel AX200 WIFI
I just wanted to follow up to my post from October 2019. I just installed CentOS 8.1 and my WIFI card is now detected and works properly! So I'm a happy camper again, I guess I just had hardware that was too new and CentOS 8.0 didn't have the driver for my WIFI card but CentOS 8.1 *DOES* have it. Good thing, Both RedHat and DELL says it is "completely supported". I was

Can't get pictures off camera
Hi, I'm trying to download some pictures off my camera and I keep getting an error. This used to work at some point although I can't say when. The camera is a Cannon EOS and I plug it in to a USB port and turn it on and I get a dialog box with a title of "Cannon Digital Camera" saying "You have just inserted a medium with digital photos...blah blah...". When I

Need tip on an inexpensive printer for college student using CentOS 5.5
Sending my son back to college with a dual-boot laptop with Win 7 and CentOS 5.5. He uses Win7 to manage his iPod and SW that sometimes issued by a professor for a specific course...otherwise he uses CentOS for everything else. That setup worked well last year, except for printing. He has a low-end Cannon printer that is not supported in the Linux realm. Most of his coursework was uploaded to

issue with 3.7.1p2
Hello, I have recently download and compiled version 3.7.1p2 of openssh, but am having authentication issues with it. I have been using 3.6.1p1 with no problems. Both versions were compiled on the same Solaris 8 host. That host uses ldap for its name service. Both were compiled using the same openssh config options: --prefix=/opt/openssh --with-pam --with-zlib=/opt/openssh/lib However, the

Printing NT to Linux w\Cannon bjc-4000
I am able to see my printer as a share. Well better put, I see four representations of my printer: ascii, lp2, lp-mono, and raw. I tried the naive thing and just selected lp2 and added the cannon bjc 4000 driver for NT. This didn't work. I get an error report: %%[ Error: undefined; offending Command: K ]%% . . . a bunch of strings that I don't understand. This does not look like the

Not hearing the caller after 2 x Flash
Me again, another problem. As I said before, I have 2 lines going into "incoming" context. When client calls, I press Flash, client hears music on hold (only on voip line as said in previous post), when I get back and press Flash again to get back to my client I cannon hear him, but he hears me without problems. I have just tested in on the LAN, same situations, happens everytime.

College student printer for CentOS 5.4 x86_64?
Oldest son came back from college and wants a printer for his Dell laptop. I built it with CentOS 5.3 x86_64 several months ago and will upgrade it to 5.4 The Cannon printer he now has (bought with the laptop and Vista through the university book store), doesn't seem to have linux drivers. I built the machine with Vista and CentOS in dual-boot, so he could manage his iTunes and use the

samba 3 b3 and nt accounts
Okidokey things are flying here However I am a domain admin and as such when I logon to a win 2k/xp system I should be able to access the system stuff (like changing the domain) as well as certify a new machine to the domain. With the Samba user however I log onto the machine now and no longer have my admin rights to change settings :c( (I hate this quirk of xp/2k it's almost enough reason

Windows cannon connect to the domain, either because the domain controller is down or otherwise unavailable, or because your computer account was not found. Can anybody think of what is causing this? conditional value assignment
Dear R-Help, I am trying to compute a new variable, let's call it "target cannon orientation (tco)" based conditionally on old variables, "TargetColor," "CannonOriB," and "CannonOriR." For every case in the data set, if TargetColor is "B" then I want tco to equal the value for that case of CannonOirB, else CannonOriR. I've tried writing
