I am having some network connectivity issues that manifest itself through ping, wget, dnf, etc. The symptoms are intermittent ability to ping, was wget, or connect to repositories. Where this inquiry is going is: If your internal network is using 192.168.1 or 10..50.10, what should be in /etc/networks. My current file contains: default 0.0.0.0 loopback 127.0.0.0 link-local 169.254.0.0 And

Upgrade from CentOS6.6 to CentOS 7
Hi All Is it possible to upgrade from CentOS 6.7 to CentOS 7? I see there is some attempt at an upgrade tool available, but it's apparently broken: https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/CentOSUpgradeTool Would anyone be able to recommend a manual upgrade procedure to upgrade a minimal CentOS 6.7 system to one or other version of CentOS 7? Many thanks in advance, Traiano

There's the tool available here: http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/CentOSUpgradeTool ... but it can leave your system in a broken state. (I'm assuming you mean migrating from CentOS6 to

Upgrading to CentOS 7
I read in <http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/CentOSUpgradeTool> "Warning: use of this tool is currently not recommended as several system- critical packages are of a higher version number in CentOS 6.6 than they are in CentOS 7 so those do not get upgraded correctly. This renders yum and several other system tools non-functional." Does this still hold? It seems to me a bit

In Place Upgrade Tool, CentOS 6 to CentOS 7
Upgrade Tool Docs: http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/CentOSUpgradeTool Make sure you listen to the tool if it tells you that you have Medium, High, or Extreme issues and mitigate them before trying to upgrade. You can not upgrade if you have a GNOME or KDE desktop, for example. Let's give this a try and hopefully we can move this out of testing and into Extras next week. Thanks, Johnny

libGLU.so.1
I have a C++ program that I have been running on RedHat 6 and I want to move to CentOS 7. When I run it on the CentOS 7 system it fails with: error while loading shared libraries: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I did this, but still have no libGLU. I did a find of the entire system for '*libGLU*' and nothing. bash-4.2# yum whatprovides libGLU.so.1
