Wonky Firefox 68.0.1esr upgrade
I just applied a bunch of updates to my CentOS 7 system yesterday, one of which was a Firefox update to 68.0.1esr. Now when I bring up sites I would log in to -- my bank, credit cards, etc., the Password box is wonky and shakes and doesn't display successive dots? for characters I type, nor does it accept what I type. My work around currently is to type the password first, then my userid

Recommendations for image malware detection?
Hello all -- This is not a CentOS specific question, but I have a feeling some of you are involved in enterprise malware efforts, so here goes. Does anyone have recommendations for malware detection that includes detection in image files? I'm looking for something that could be integrated into a batch cron process as opposed to a client end download check. Thanks. --

Openshot 2.x (beta) on C7??
Well, by the looks of it, it bundles all the deps in one archive, so you no longer depend on system ones, but also you miss out on system updates. As an example, should there be another openssl vulnerability, "yum update openssl" will not save you, you'll have to wait for the Openshot dev to issue an updated appimage. -- Sent from the Delta quadrant using Borg technology! how to determine what's installed from a repository?
Hello all-- I am trying to determine what I have isntalled from a given repository. I have seen several references to "yum repo-pkgs" which I think is what would work for me, but "repo-pkgs" does not seem to be a part of yum 3.2.29. Is this a yum add on that I could get somewhere? -- -------------------------------------------- MzK "Way down deep, we're all

What causes phantom update nags?
My Update Applet keeps giving me messages to install an update to a package I do not have installed. To make matters more confusing, when I actually try to install the package it wants to update, there is a problem with the installation. Any tips on how to resolve this? Is this somehow caused by the repositories I have enabled? -- -------------------------------------------- MzK "We can

"Details" on Software Updates app not working
... and causing me great concern at the moment. I've got a notification of 673 Software updates at the moment. I didn't see anything on this list that indicated that kind of update. Unfortunately, the "Details" option which would normally show me what repo is providing the updates, does not seem to provide any information. Anyone else having this problem? Not happy... :( --

additional X11 issues with CentOS 6.7
OK, I need to start with a basic "dumb" question. What named xorg version does my package version 1.15 correspond to? X11R7.? Currently, I'm having some bad flicker problems I didn't experience previously. I have an old old radeon graphics card and note that the ati driver was updated with 6.7. This loads for X before the radeon module. I didn't find any release notes

Problems with latest Firefox update -- can't install new extensions
Since the latest Firefox update to 45.7.0 on my CentOS 6.8 system, I can no longer install add-ons/extensions. Things LOOK like they're working but the extensions don't get stored in my normal area and they don't appear in my Add-Ons menu. Is anyone else having this issue? It has been a while since I added any new extensions so I can't say WHEN exactly this problem happened

Openshot 2.x (beta) on C7??
Very nice, it probably has to do with http://appimage.org/ So the appimage did not work on EL6?
