Re: Qt & KGPG
Beau, If you are installing Qt, you may want to take a look at the resources available at the "KDE for Red Hat Linux" site, http://kde-redhat.sourceforge.net/ I do not know about KGPG. Qt, KGPG, list archives
Mornin' all, I've got a trio of quick questions: 1.) Are there archives for the list, 2.) Any trick to installing Qt, 3.) Any tricks, once Qt is set, installing KGPG? geli or gbde encryption of slices
Hello, I was playing around with geli an gbde after last EuroBSDCon. I liked the idea of encrypting my data which resides in /home/$user. Since this is a "single" user laptop i intended to encrypt the whole /home partition. Well no problems with that. But i wanted the lockfile or keyfile on a seperate usb disc. Which would be mounted or used during boot of the system. I also used

Centos 7 and MAC address munging
Odd situation: I've mentioned before that I have several users for whom I have to spoof the MAC address, due to a software license. Now, I've got net.ifnames=0 biosdevname=0 on the grub2 command line, and I've got the spoofed MAC address in /etc/sysconfig/network-sctipts/ifcfg-eth0. But he had a serious problem - X froze, and he thought to reboot, rather than call me. It came up with

superclass mismatch for class OrderedOptions
I have Rails 1.1.2 installed and froze my app to 1.0 by checking it out into the vender directory. Maybe it''s coincidence, but now when trying to do rake migrate I get this: > rake migrate --trace (in /home/beet/workspace/) rake aborted! superclass mismatch for class OrderedOptions /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-1.3.1/lib/active_support/ordered_options.rb:27

PATCH: Support for encrypted host keys
Hello all, I recently found myself wanting to run sshd with passphrase-protected host keys rather than the usual unencrypted format, and was somewhat surprised to discover that sshd did not support this. I'm not sure if there's any particular reason for that, but I've developed the below patch (relative to current CVS at time of writing) that implements this. It prompts for the

Private key encryption by Passphrase
Hi All, When ss-keygen creates a private key, I guess it stores it in the private key file after encrypting it with the passphrase. What kind of encryption does ssh-keygen use for OpenSSH, SSH1 and SSH2? Another question: OpenSSH doesn't support all the ciphers of either SSh-1 or SSH-2? So I assume it doesn't work exhaustively with the SSH1 or SSH2 clients? Can we consider OpenSH as a

OT-ish: GPG problem
I'm asking here because it is the best resource I know for knowledgeable people. The problem in question occurs on my Fedora 9 box and Fedora 10 netbook, while another person, Chris, has the problem on a Mandriva 2009 box. Whatever is causing it, that leads me to think that it's not distro-specific. Both of us are using kmail. Kgpg sees and lists all the keys on my keyring.
