I reinstalled my OS and after the reinstall I made the mistake of re-assembling the array incorrectly by typing "sudo mdadm --assemble /dev/md0 /dev/sdb /dev/sdc /dev/sdd /dev/sde" in a moment of stupidity. One of my concerns is how to make the changes to grub that supports booting from either of the disk partitions that make up /dev/md0 (/dev/sda1 and /dev/sdb1) or whatever it would be under CentOS 7.
