Upping my game on web work
Until now, I have been satisfied with hand coding my html for simple, but effective web pages (see http://www.htt-consult.com/). But I want to offer one of our small synagogues some web pages and need a few tools for them to use to compose their pages and upload content. What 'simple' web support tools do we have here? Of course I will be doing this on armhfp,,,

Wysiwyg html editor for note taking
I am looking for a wsyiwyg html editor for note taking as I build up a system to note what I am doing. I typically just use gedit, but this system's notes are getting complex, and using code tabs, lists, and the like would make it more enduring. I am looking at lonote on my F17 notebook, but I would like to do the note taking directly on the Centos system. Just basic html. Image

Step By Step PDC with OpenLDAP?
Hello, We had a linux guy here working on this in his busy schedule, but ultimately, he was unable to make it work before he left the department. Is there a good doc that will help someone without much linux experience other than lots of /etc/init.d/servicename restart, using vi to edit the named.zones DNS entries and other similar stuff to configure an existing Samba server as a PDC with

Include files though directory excluded
Hi, I got a little question on the rsync-option include/exclude: I excluded all hidden files in my home-directory but I want two files to be included. I used following command: gregor@notebook:~> rsync -avzuPn -e ssh --exclude=.* --exclude=* --include=.kderc --include=.gaimrc /home/gregor/ 192.168.0.1:/home/gregor/ building file list ... 1 file to consider wrote 69 bytes read 20 bytes

Hard drives being renamed
Hi, We are running Centos 6.7 - 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64 on a Quanta Cirrascale, up to date with patches. We have had a couple of instances in which the hard drives have become renamed after reboot (e.g. drive sda is renamed to sdc after reboot). One time this occurred when we rebooted following the installation of a 10GB NIC card, another time after we tried to install mellanox drivers

bind zone files graphical management tool
On a server that does not have a gui, only command line. In the past I have used webmin, and was happy with it, but it is more than I really need. I COULD rsync the files to my notebook and maintain them there. Probably should just for backup! But is there anything else that is 'safe' to use. vi gets tiring after a while.

Recommendations for Infiniband with CentOS 6.7
Hi All, We looking for suggestions on dealing with mellanox drivers in CentOS 6.7 We tried installing mellanox drivers (MLNX_OFED_LINUX-3.2-2.0.0.0-rhel6.7-x86_64) on a Quanta Cirrascale server running Centos 6.7 - 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64. When we rebooted the machine after installing the drivers, it went into a kernel panic for every installed kernel except for Centos 6.7

How do you install libreoffice. yum install libreoffice did not do it, doing a search on "centos 8 install libreoffice" did not provide anything. Thanks Jerry
