Updating 7.5->7.6
I've got a user with a legacy NVidia card. I've got kmod-nvidia. Last time I did an update, all I did was yum update --disableexcludes. This time, it fails, with Error: Package: nvidia-x11-drv-304xx-304.135-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64 (@elrepo) Requires: xorg-x11-server-Xorg <= 1.19.99 Removing: xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.19.5-5.el7.x86_64 (@base)

conflicts in updating to CR repo
Note, first of all I haven't actually updated, I'm just running "yum update" to see what conflicts, if any, I get so I can be prepared when the final 7.7 release happens. I've traditionally used the nvidia packages from elrepo, but recently enabled rpmfusion (back when I started using 7.x, I disabled rpmfusion because it took them a looooong time to get a EL7 repository up).

C7 and NVIDIA driver
Hi James, I tried as suggested installing cuda but the problem persist. In a previous c7.5 installation all works as expected but the driver was less then 390.77. So installing latest cuda nvidia driver for suggested links does not work. What other can I try? Dear All, Previously I setup CentOS 5 Samba server and everything fine But now I install CentOS 7.5 setup Samba 4.7.1 and faced the following problem . When I file less than 4 Gb ... all OK. But when I transferred file larger than 4 Gb, Samba truncated to 4Gb exactly and Windows OS side see as zero byte file. In CentOS7, can see as 4 Gb but file was corrupted Let me know what the problem could be

Yum refuses to install kmod-8188eu from elrepo
I am having trouble using the realtek wifi chip in my new tp-link usb wifi dongle. Upon plugging it, the device gets registered by the kernel (in /var/log/messages), but that's about it, no network device is being created (iwconfig does not see it, nothing else works). A few google searches later I found out that this realtek chip is not supported by the kernel and requires a driver, and that

CentOS update broke Samba
Running CentOS Linux release 7.7.1908. Have Samba running as our fileserver on our (mostly) Windows network. Ran my "normal" yum updates today, and Samba was upgraded (last updates were on 8/10/2019). I was on 4.8.3 before; now it's 4.9.1: Updated samba-4.8.3-6.el7_6.x86_64 @updates Updated samba-client-4.8.3-6.el7_6.x86_64
