SAMBA 48 - Dependencies Python27 vs python36
Hello Everyone,
Good morning/afternoon/evening.
Is there any chance to have SAMBA 48 working with Python36 and its
derivatives? ( py36-dnspython-1.15.0.txz. py36-iso8601-0.1.11.txz,
py36-ply-3.11.txz, py36-setuptools-40.6.2.txz)
Currently SAMBA 48 requires python 26, but that is conflicting with
existing packages in the server that is using py36.
Any way to work around that issue?

SAMBA 48 - Dependencies Python27 vs python36
Hi Andrew,
Thanks much for the message.
As I am using FreeBSD 12, that´s the latest SAMBA version available via PKG support, although I know it's possible to compile the ver 4.10
Would you mind let me know where to get its Source code and possibly some DOC material for FreeBSD compiling?
I will definitively give it a try.
Thanks Once again!!! Much appreciated!
Fabricio.

I managed to compile 4.10.0 under CentOS 7.6. I did the following:
- update the yum package repository cache: sudo yum makecache
- install yum-utils: sudo yum install yum-utils
- add the IUS package repository: sudo yum install https://centos7.iuscommunity.org/ius-release.rpm
- update the yum package repository cache again: sudo yum makecache
- install Python 3.6 including PIP: sudo yum

I'll put muney down that you did not get it working as a full domain
controller. The"--with-dc" option activates a gnutls >= 3.4.7
requirement.

Rmpi unkown input format error
I have just installed Rmpi on a Suse 9.1 linux cluster with
openmpi-1.0.1. I am trying the example included below from the tutorial
website. However, I keep getting the following error:

yum "transaction check error"
I need help resolving a "transaction check error" when trying to 'yum install
gtk2-devel' on a CentOS 4.2 x86_64 system. I have a feeling this is due to
having both x86_64 and i386 libs?
# yum list installed xorg-x11-libs

xorg-x11-libs.x86_64 6.8.2-1.EL.13.20 installed

trying to recompile
Hi All,
I am trying to recompile the stock kernel to include XFS. At install
time of the OS I select to install the kernel source code however I do
not have a /usr/src/linux-2.6.9-5.0.3.EL-smp directory. I then learned
you must run "yum install kernel-sourcecode" to properly install the
source. When I run the command this is what happens ( see below) . The
error I get is:

Problem with mpi.close.Rslaves()
I am running R 2.7.0 on a Suse 9.1 linux cluster with a job scheduler
dispatching jobs and openmpi-1.0.1. I have tried running one of the
examples at http://ace.acadiau.ca/math/ACMMaC/Rmpi/examples.html in Rmpi
and they seem to be working, except mpi.close.Rslaves() hangs. The
slaves are closed, but the master doesn't finish its script. Below is
the example script and the call to R. The job is

Rggobi compilation error: display.c
On a ubuntu linux computer (Feisty, i386), I compile R and additional
packages from source. The compiler is gcc 4.1.2.
The problem is, I can run "sudo R" and successfully compile all
packages (e.g., MASS, lattice) except rggobi. The error seems to be
in display.c. My ggobi is in /usr/local/, which R can find. I don't
think this is a dependence issue because install.packages(...,
