ffmpeg/ffmpeg2theora &vhooks
Hi theora-list,
I'm involved in in a project to redistribute C-SPAN's floor footage
from the US house and senate that we're capturing and converting*.
This footage is in the public doman, however there's a C-SPAN overlay
which is a registered trademark - we're having to overlay a "public
domain" graphic on top of it. We're currently doing this with

Replacing a few variable values within a DataFrame...
I would like to replace a few varaibles within a data frame.
For example, in the dataframe below (contrived) I would like to replace the current housesize value only if the Location is HSV. However, I would like to leave the other values intact.
I tried "ifelse", but I don't really need the else condition.

How to get GLIBCXX_3.4.4 ??
Hi CentOS,
I just completed the yum update to 4.2, hoping to get included with
libstdc++.so.6(GLIBCXX_3.4.4) for the x86_64.
I need the libs to run cinelerra:
[ryan at dorje]# cinelerra
cinelerra: /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.4' not found (required by cinelerra)
An: "rpm -q -i --provides -l libstdc++-3.4.4-2" returns:
(A bunch of stuff....)

Clients send tons of Notiftication requests
I am still fighting with this issue.
I did the following: I connected to the NAS with a read-only account called kodi. I traversed various folders and I finally opened an image.
Everything went fine.
Looking at the logs, the get_entry mask file only shows the final folder:
smbd_dirptr_get_entry mask=[Anhelina Viber] found Users/luca/Pictures/Canon/Alessandro/Amici/Anhelina Viber fname=Anhelina

I need a package updated...
...Where do I go?
Hi please forgive me if I missed something obvious, but I've been
reading and searching for a couple days to no avail.
I'm trying to get the latest cinelerra running on CentOS4.1 on a dual
Xeon machine.
I need:
cinelerra: /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.4' not found
(required by cinelerra) (x86_64)
and apparently the latest available is:

[PATCH 1/6] drm/nouveau: convert to using is_hdmi and has_audio from display info
Prefer the parsed results for is_hdmi and has_audio in display info over
calling drm_detect_hdmi_monitor() and drm_detect_monitor_audio(),
respectively.
Conveniently, this also removes the need to use edid_blob_ptr.

[PATCH 1/2] drm/nouveau/disp/nv50-: force scaler for any non-default LVDS/eDP modes
Higher layers tend to add a lot of modes not actually in the EDID, such
as the standard DMT modes. Changing this would be extremely intrusive to
everyone, so just force the scaler more often. There are no practical
cases we're aware of where a LVDS/eDP panel has multiple resolutions
exposed, and i915 already does it this way.

making custom function compute/return multiple items
Hello, I'm relatively new to R. I've read the intro guide, but I
can't quite figure out how to:
I have a function:
Jcost <- function (theta, in, out) {
a <- output - input %*% theta
1/2 * t(a) %*% a
}
where
"theta" is a 2x1 matrix
"in" is a 20x2 matrix
"out" is a 20x1 matrix
return value is a scaler
This works well when I only want to
