Difference in gnome between centos <> fedora
Hello, I've on my home PC CentOS 6 and Fedora 13 on different disks. When I log on the gnome enviroment at Fedora knows exactly which programm was started at which desktop (for example: thunderbird on desktop 1, firefox on desktop 2, nautilus on desktop 3, ..). The same procedure on Centos takes all programs on the first desktop, so I must arrange the programs on the right desktop.

Telco with multipe SIP servers
Hi! My telco is Deutsche Telekom and they got about 30 SIP servers right now. Currently I've set up a template for incoming calls in sip.conf and added each SIP server by it's IP address like this: [DTAG-in-1](DTAG-in-template) host=217.0.16.103 ... [DTAG-in-30](DTAG-in-template) host=217.0.20.99 I've done that to improve security and to be able to assign all calls coming in

CentOS-7.2 USB stick problem
I've installed CentOS-7-x86_64-LiveKDE-1503.iso and CentOS-7-x86_64-LiveKDE-1511.iso on two USB sticks. The first boots up in 90 seconds, but the second takes almost 7 minutes. (I'm talking about the time until my laptop becomes usable.) After 5 minutes a small window comes up saying it cannot save bookmarks because it does not have permission in the required directory. I assume the

CentOS ISO contents
On the download page https://wiki.centos.org/Download it lists: DVD, Minimal, Everything, LiveGNOME, LiveKDE. Where can I find the lists of packages contained in each one without downloading and extracting them? Is there a repo with the scripts that make them maybe? X-Content-Duration HTTP header
Hi ppl, we've been using a header called X-Content-Duration on some applications to communicate between a client and a server about the duration of a video (or audio) file. I've just been told by some W3C people that we should not name HTTP headers (even if intermediate) with "X-". (see email thread excerpt below) Should we move forward and register a provisional header as

How to correct LiveKDE stick?
CentOS-7-x86_64-LiveKDE-1511.iso crashes on my AMD/ATI Radeon machine. I installed CentOS-7.2 by first installing CentOS-7-x86_64-LiveKDE-1503.iso, then appending GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="initcall_blacklist=clocksource_done_booting" to /etc/default/grub and running update-grub. My question is: would there be any way, short of re-compiling the ISO, of altering the grub.cfg seen when

Problems PXE booting syslinux.efi on HP EliteBook 2560p / 8460p

BTW the same failing hardware has not problem booting MS bootmgr.efi but analyzing its code I see
