CentOS on HP DL360e with B120i
I am trying to install CentOS5 on a new HP DL360e G8 with B120i disk controller. It appears that a proprietary HP driver is needed for it. I found a useful description at http://www.linuxhelp.in/2013/08/Installing-centos-on-HP-Proliant-DL360e-Gen8-with-B120i-controller.html I have a pair of hard drives to use as a RAID1 mirror. My question to people who may have been this way already is: is it

Ideal RAID-1 Stripe Size for IMAP Server ?
Hi there. I'm currently configuring a brand new email server(IMAP) which will run CentOS 6.3 x64. So lots of files on the data volume. I'm confused about stripe size for my data volume. I'm using 2x500GB for OS in RAID1 and 2x2TB SAS for DATA in RAID1 which is hosted on a HP Smart Array P420 Controller with 1GB in Cache/Battery Backed Up. Both these array's are on the P420

How to avoid multiple submits/posts?
Hello, How do I prevent previously submitted form data from being reinserted into the database when the user presses the browser''s Refresh button? On Aughey''s advice in #irc I tried using `redirect_to'' a new `:action'' but this approach doesn''t seems to work. Any idea what might be wrong or how to tackle this problem? Thanks for your help. C7: How to configure raid at install time
Hi all! I'm still on C6. I'm using a RAID1 configuration (Linux software RAID) and I'd like to either use the same one, or possibly configure it on new drives (larger) when I upgrade to C7. (I'm really feeling the need to move off C6.) But it isn't at all obvious how one would do a new RAID1 setup in Anaconda, and I don't find any user reports or other info on this in the

HP Blade Gen 7 and 8 IO stall with ciss driver
hello Since a while we're experiencing completely I/O stalls / stopps with some HP Blade Hardware and FreeBDS 9.1. If it occurs, we have to power cycle the server to recover. The stalls occur only every few days to weeks, so it's difficult to reproduce them; we also tried to do a lot of I/O (e.g. scrubbing nonstop) but this didn't help to reproduce more often; taking load away from

APC 1500 USB problem
Hello, We have two APC Back-UPS RS 1500 USB stuff, and i've got a bit of a problem with it and NUT. [LLVMdev] globals in DS graph
I have some questions regarding how globals are represented in DS graph. Specifically, I wrote the following simple program: List *g; void alloc_func(){ g = ( List* ) malloc( sizeof( List ) ); } void free_func(){ free( g ); } int main(){ alloc_func(); free_func(); } I noticed that the DSnode for g in alloc_func is different from that of free_func and NEITHER of them had GlobalNode

[LLVMdev] globals in DS graph
Ganesh, I modified DataStructure.cpp so that global nodes are no longer removed from any graphs. Only that file has changed. Chris, if you get a chance to do this, it would be nice if you could take a quick look at the change I made and make sure that's all that's needed. memdisk load failure on HP DL360g9
Hi all, I have observed a problem where, under legacy BIOS booting mode on the DL360g9, memdisk fails to execute. The same mechanism works fine on the DL360g8. The system displays the below on the console and ceases to respond and must be power cycled. Updating the firmware didn't help. There didn't appear to be any similar issues on the mailing list unless I missed them. Wondering if
