Hi - using gnome I am trying to use Places -> Connect to Server to mount a windows share. I can do: smbclient //disk.site.edu/uname$ -U uname%passwd but have not been able to transfer that infomation into the GUI that can mount the Windows Share, specifically can't figure out how to enter the password. I am trying to install Centos 7 on a couple 4TB drives with software raid. In the Supermicro bios I set UEFI/BIOS boot mode to legacy. I am using the Centos 7 minimal install ISO flashed to a USB thumb drive. So I do custom drive layout something like this using sda and sdb. Create /boot as 512 MB XFS raid1 array. Create SWAP as 32 GB SWAP raid1 array. Create / on 3.xxx TB XFS raid1 array.

I got the have install a SATA HardDisk on the machine recently. But somethings the Disk cannot be accessed. And mesg tells that it is IO error. Is it a hardware problem or system setting problem. Have a Linux Mint 19.1 with Samba 4.7.6 installed. Plan is to use this as a file server. Cannot connect from Windows 10. Win 10 sees the share but says group name could not be found.
