seconds, during that time the Xorg server is 100% working and the GPU
utilization is at about 77% (from NVIDIA server settings).
I have tried disabling the hardware acceleration (options->view) and
OpenCL (options) but the problem and

I expect that yum is looking for dependencies online, i.e. from one of your configured repos rather than a local file.
Try "rpm -i *.rpm" in the directory with all of the

LibreOffice locking up

This has been going on for some time and I am curious if the bug might be in LibreOffice or if there is some interaction with the Mate desktop that

Does LibreOffice need to be patched to remove upstream "supplied by" text?
I just noticed that if I click "Help / About" in LibreOffice Writer (and
likely other LibreOffice apps), I see:
This release was supplied by Red Hat, Inc.
Copyright (C) 2000 - 2013 LibreOffice contributors and/or their affiliates
LibreOffice was based on OpenOffice.org
I know several packages are patched to remove ambiguity as to who
supplied the package; should this be one of them?
