Update from el7.4 to el7.5 broke samba 4.6.14
Hi Rowland, Yes, that's right (Thank you). Here is what happened: On the DC's, libldb was this version on el7.4: - libldb-1.1.29-2.el7_4.wing.x86_64 (from Wing's repo). el7.5 brought in a more recent version: - libldb-1.2.2-1.el7.x86_64 - libldb-1.2.2-1.el7.i686 What would be the best course of action here? A) Downgrade el7.5 to libldb-1.1.29-2.el7_4.wing.x86_64? B) rebuild

Update from el7.4 to el7.5 broke samba 4.6.14
Hi all, After upgrading my first Samba AD DC from el7.4 to el7.5, I had the pain of being greeted with a non-fonctional Samba. When I used samba-tool, I was greeted with that message: root at dc00 ~]# samba-tool dbcheck ldb: module version mismatch in ../source4/dsdb/samdb/ldb_modules/acl.c : ldb_version=1.2.2 module_version=1.1.29 ldb: failed to initialise module /usr/lib64/samba/ldb/acl.so :

Update from el7.4 to el7.5 broke samba 4.6.14
Hi Rowland, Yes, I noticed that el7.5 had samba 4.7.1. Unfortunately, one cannot use that version as an AD DC. Here's the situation: # rpm -ql samba-dc /usr/share/doc/samba-dc-4.7.1 /usr/share/doc/samba-dc-4.7.1/README.dc (and it mentions that because of MIT kerberos the samba AD DC features cannot be enabled on el7 at this moment). Perhaps the best way forward would be to rebuild

C7 and NVIDIA driver
Hi all, I'm running C7 on i7 8700k/asus z370-a with an GTX1050. I noticed that there are several problems installing Nvidia proprietary driver. After one week of troubleshooting I got my solution. Hope that can help other user. I found this https://access.redhat.com/solutions/3438891 but I've not access to this content. In this content seems that the workaround is using lightdm and

C7 and NVIDIA driver
Hi James, I tried as suggested installing cuda but the problem persist. In a previous c7.5 installation all works as expected but the driver was less then 390.77. So installing latest cuda nvidia driver for suggested links does not work. What other can I try? Semi-OT: hardware: NVidia proprietary driver, C7.4
This is really frustrating. I've got a server with two K20c Tesla cards. I need to use the proprietary drivers to use the CUDA toolkit. Btw, I had no trouble at all with building for CentOS 7.3 I have what NVidia claims is the correct driver package, a 340 series. It appears to build, but then fails to load. The only error I see is "no such device", which makes no sense to me, esp.
