Broadcom Wifi Problem
I have a Broadcom 802.11b/g hardware on my dual-boot laptop. Note first that in the WinXP partition, the wifi makes DHCP connections to my router with no problem. Since this was not working in my new CentOS 6 partition, and remembering that there was a driver problem with the old Fedora partition it replaced, I followed instructions founs at:

Broadcom wireless card: installation script for Linux-STA driver
Hi, I just installed CentOS 6.6 on my HP Pavilion DM1 laptop. The wireless card is only poorly supported in the default setup, so I decided to write an installation script for the Linux-STA driver, which works perfectly. https://github.com/kikinovak/centos/blob/master/6.x/broadcom-sta/broadcom-sta.sh Grab the files: # git clone https://github.com/kikinovak/centos Run the script: # cd

Problems with Broadcom 4312 wireless
Hello David, In brief, I've solved this problem on my Dell Inspiron 1525 (with Broadcom 4312 wireless card), so I figured letting You know would be nice, 'cause it didn't seem like the issue is resolved. Visit this link: http://jomcode.com/fadhil/?p=59 and in addition check out the comment on the same page by Andre Kiepe to have the modules load on boot. Best Regards, Milos.

Wifi Driver Broadcom BCM4322 not working with Centos 7.2
Hi, I've been using in the past the broadcom wifi card BCM4322 with Centos 7.1 one in the past, with kernel 3.10.0-229.7.2.el7 and driver 6_30_223_248 and it worked well. Now I updated Centos to 7.2 and the driver is not compiling any more under kernel 3.10.0-327.3.1.el7. Neither driver 6_30_223_238 nor 6_30_223_271. Does any body experienced the same issues? Kernel Panic with wl.ko (Broadcom wireless driver) [CentOS 5.4]
Been experimenting with CentOS 5.4 some more. In order to get my wireless card to work (Broadcom BCM4311) I need Broadcom's wl.ko driver (http:// www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php). It compiles fine after the necessary modification in typedef.h, loads and wireless works. However, as soon as I put some load on that interface (scp something from another machine, download

CentOS 6.5 driver for a Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 chipset
Hello CentOS admins. I am an AIX admin bent on learning CentOS. Yesterday I downloaded CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso, burned a DVD and loaded it onto a Lenovo IdeaPad N585 laptop. All went well, except for getting the integrated wireless to work. Here is some info and what I tried so far. # lspci|egrep -i wireless 06:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless

Broadcom BCM4352 on Centos 7
After getting nowhere with the mokutil command I decided to use the other option and turn off secure boot in the BIOS settings. I had been loathed to do this because every time I do anything in the BIOS it stuffs the boot order and reverts to booting straight into Win8. Guess what, as soon as I turned off secure boot it did exactly that. Turnng secure boot back on made no difference.

BCM4313 on CentOS 6.3
Hi all, I'm a complete newbie in Linux and am trying to get my Broadcom BCM4313 working in my Lenovo S10-3t netbook (CentOS 6.3 installed from LiveCD). I followed the steps in the wiki, which lead me to ELRepo: wl-kmod. I followed the instructions there until Step 2: $ mkdir -p ~/rpmbuild/{BUILD,RPMS,SPECS,SOURCES,SRPMS} $ echo -e "%_topdir $(echo $HOME)/rpmbuild\n%dist .el$(lsb_release

CentOS 6, Broadcom, missing wlan0
This is a continuation of my previous thread: "Broadcom Wifi Problem" Following a post from "James A. Peltier", who said: You can use the rpmforge version or compile it yourself. I've used this one with success using the details described earlier. http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php I did however have to patch it with

Broadcom BCM4313 support broken with kernel 2.6.32-573.7.1.el6.centos.plus.x86_64?
Hello, I noticed that with latest kernel (2.6.32-573.7.1.el6.centos.plus.x86_64), my laptop's Wifi doesn't work, whereas with previous kernel (2.6.32-504.30.3.el6.centos.plus.x86_64), it works fine. Is this a known issue or did I miss something new? BTW, `lspci` says: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01) Regards, -- wwp -------------- next part
