C 7, docker, and storage
I may have missed some overnight replies to my question from yesterday - if so, sorry. >From my googling, it looks like I should change from the loopback device to overlayFS (with overlay2). What I haven't found is, first and foremost, more clarity on configuring storage. It *appears* that the loopback storage is just a directory under /var/lib/docker (yet I see a reference in

CentOS 8 Docker container is missing dnf-plugin-ovl
Hi everyone, I've been running some tests on Travis CI with CentOS 7 and CentOS 8 based Docker containers and having issues with the CentOS 8 ones. With the centos:8 image, the RPM database eventually gets corrupted due to the default overlay2 storage driver used by Docker. This issue doesn't show with the centos:7 container. It already comes with the "fastestmirror" and

Best practices for docker setup on Centos 7?
Hi All. I am currently running docker 1.13 on Centos 7 boxes with devicemapper storage plugin. I would like to know what are your experiences in regard to: - storage plugins - kernel versions - stability I consider upgrade to docker 17.03.1 and would like to choose most stable combination of kernel/storage plugin. Thanks for all info! BR, Rafal.

I have a samba 3 dc where users log on with their win xp workstations and I have a w2k3 domain where there is an exchange server the users connect to with outlook. I would like to do an ldapmodify command on active directory to initially align time password was set for both samba and exchane and then have the users notified when logon samba pwd is near to expirate and so they receive also

Amd es1000
I have installed in graphic mode, but I have not install gui. I try to install X afterward, because I have buied the Sander Van Vugt book: "red hat rhcsa 8 ex200". In this book, Sander, write that the exam ex200 is in gui mode and not in text. Ok I try to reinstall and pass your information to grub. Amd is a nightmare for the gpu in linux. All the examples I found about libvirt-lxc refer to running /bin/sh in a container, almost as if it was docker, as opposed to run a "full system" like I've been doing with lxd. Also virt-install, often referred in libvirt
