Gnome dark panels
I think of a layout like in the centos wiki: https://wiki.centos.org/Screenshots?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=screenshot-c7-widescreen.png With panels I mean the lines on top and bottom of a desktop. autologin-user-timeout
Hello, in the assumption that I understand them correctly I specified in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf autologin-user=xxxx autologin-user-timeout=10 so that after 10 seconds the user xxxx is logged-in automatically. What happens is that the user xxxx is logged-in immediately i.e. without any delay. Do I understand the second variable wrong or am I missing something? Thanks for any help. K.D.J.

Strange dots on monitor
Yves thank you very much for your help, today I tried newer drivers but the problem persists. So I think it is hardware problem. Since the laptop is still in warranty I will probably contact the manufacturer. My only worry is that they would not accept it since I am running Linux (the laptop came with Windows - and I am not sure if the problem would be also present on Windows). Do you think there

Enabling auto-login
How do you enable auto-login? I went into /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf, uncommented autologin-user (and set it to = my login name), and uncommented autologin-user-timeout (and set it to = 0). Is there something else I missed? -- Jason Hsu <jhsu802701 at jasonhsu.com>

Strange dots on monitor
I forgot to write that the dots start to appear only inside "Desktop Environment" (in my case Gnome), not for example in grub/bios. Today I tried to install ubuntu 16.04 and the green dots appeared there too (in Unity). asterisk & chan_sccp
ive got asterisk running with chan_sccp and three cisco phones (2 7910's and 1 7960). lots of bugs. when i press the speed dial button on either 7910, asterisk dies. also, if i dial from the 7910 to 7910, everything works fine. i can dial from or to the 7960 once, and then one of the 10's and the 60 die and try to reregister. if i take the 7960 out of the mix and remove its

xorg-x11-drv-intel CR update breaks X server for Intel HD520
Hi, As a consequence of rolling out CR updates on Latitude E7470 (Skylake chipset), X would no longer start until I rolled back all of the xorg-\* packages. And to be more precise, looks like the culprit is xorg-x11-drv-intel: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1445583 as the CR package release version matches the one mentioned in Comment #2, in the regression context.

deprecated ALERT_INFO var andAMI's Originate command
Since 1.4 ALERT_INFO variable has been deprecated. I used to send this via AMI: Action: Originate Channel: Sip/1234 Application: AgentLogin Data: 1234 Variable: _ALERT_INFO=info=alert-autoanswer Callerid: AutoLogin[1234] In order to send an autologin and autoanswer call to the agent 1234 on an Aastra phone at extension 1234. SCCP questions
Hi! I have two, not too related questions: - the probably simpler one: if anyone can help me out using a Cisco 7905G with chan_sccp? I did already managed to get it working with a SIP image, I'd just like to see it work with this one as well. It's probably something I screw up with the configuration, as the phone registers, only I don't get any lines with it, although I have it
