libreoffice 5 slow after 7.3 update
Hello all, After the update to 7.3 libreoffice (5.0.6.2-3.el7.x86_64) became unusable slow. For an excel file with 250 rows even a simple scroll takes a few seconds, during that time the Xorg server is 100% working and the GPU utilization is at about 77% (from NVIDIA server settings). I have tried disabling the hardware acceleration (options->view) and OpenCL (options) but the problem and

Yum dependency failure installing latest LibreOffice
I've been bashing my head on the wall for 2 or 3 hours for something that should be (and has been, in the past) simple. Trying to install the latest LibreOffice downloaded from Libreoffice.org. I had 6.0.1.1 and downloaded 6.4.0.2, and kept getting dependency errors: --> Running transaction check ---> Package libobasis6.0-base.x86_64 0:6.0.4.2-2 will be installed ---> Package

LibreOffice locking up
I am running LibreOffice 5.3.6.1 under the latest update of CentOS 7 and the Mate desktop. Not infrequently LibreOffice Calc locks up and I have to force close the application. Altough the spreadsheet is rather large I would not consider it complex. This has been going on for some time and I am curious if the bug might be in LibreOffice or if there is some interaction with the Mate desktop that

Does LibreOffice need to be patched to remove upstream "supplied by" text?
I just noticed that if I click "Help / About" in LibreOffice Writer (and likely other LibreOffice apps), I see: This release was supplied by Red Hat, Inc. Copyright (C) 2000 - 2013 LibreOffice contributors and/or their affiliates LibreOffice was based on OpenOffice.org I know several packages are patched to remove ambiguity as to who supplied the package; should this be one of them?

Libreoffice and roaming profile log-off delay
samba --version Version 4.0.0rc3-GIT-56ffe75 AD and s3fs on the same box. libreoffice 3.6.1 Hi If a user has used libreoffice, his log-off time is around 3 minutes on both XP and w7. samba shows 50% and smbd shows 20% CPU usage during the delay. I can get the delay down to around 2 minutes by removing all of the optional libreoffice modules (such as the wiki publisher). The delay is less

OpenOffice or LibreOffice?
Given that the Document Foundation has now split away from Oracle to continue the development of an independent office suite, do we have any idea which was CentOS and Red Hat are planning to go in this area - OpenOffice or LibreOffice? I know that LibreOffice is not production ready yet - they only have their first beta available, but it's just a matter of (likely a short) time before the
