USB audio on Centos-7
Most of the useful audacity stuff is in their wiki: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/USB_mic_on_Linux seems like a good place to start.

Not sure about the other stuff but my USB dock's mic input shows up in Audacity on Fedora 26 under the second drop down on the last row (next to the little microphone icon). In

Hi, I managed to get my hand on a Xenyx x2222usb at a friend's, so I took the opportunity to do some testing with it. Pi model B, one of the more recent editions (I also had an older one from just after they were introduced and that one had trouble rebooting when attaching/detaching network so I ditched that one). Two usb onboard. Xenyx x2222usb has the same usb chip 08bb:2902 Texas

anybody else had this problem since the CR updates?
I'm running Mate on my C7 boxen, a desktop and a netbook.\ Mate comes from epel, so it's probably not a CentOS problem, but lemme ask here in case anybody else has seen it: some tools (nm, pavucontrol, and possibly others I haven't noted down) no longer have the correct formatting on screen. there are no backgrounds, i.e., backgrounds that define areas of the screen by shading or

Using Pulse Audio--question
Hi all! This seems to me as if it should be a trivial thing to do, but so far I've wasted a lot of time on it and gotten nowhere: I want to feed audio from a source (ipod, other player) into the audio input on my C7 box via either the phone jack or an external USB sound "card" I have, then I want to play it via the speakers connected to the system. I can find no way to do it with

[C6] Some typical apps missing?
Hi everyone! :-) I just installed CentOS 6 on one of my desktop machines, and yum now tells me that some of my favorite apps are not present in any of the repositories I configured. To name a few: ktorrent, kile, krusader, pavucontrol, mplayerplug-in (or is it now gecko-mediaplayer), xine, xmms, and so on... All these apps were readily available for C5, and I used them happily. I am mostly
